Well, when you start a game, it should ask you if you would like to play Multi-Player or Single-Player.
Multi-Player is what we have now, with several players interacting with each other.
Single-Player is just the same as Multi-Player, except there is 1 player max in every server.
TL;DR
Allow players to play games on their own. |

Games will be singleplayer if they are only meant for 1 player. Games will be multiplayer if it requires other people to be in the game (like starting a team vs team game or something), or if the creator just wants it to be multiplayer and to have people socialize...
Not the best idea to suggest.
It's as simple as that. |

I agree that you should have the OPTION to play by yourself if you want to. There are tons of games that I love to play, yet a lot of the 8 year old idiots and D-bags like to ruin the experience for me. I've seen new people get chased out of games because of these people, GREAT games.
Yeah, the player limit can make it singleplayer, but what about all the multiplayer games that can ALSO be played with one player? For us loners, we would LOVE to have a singleplayer mode as an option. |

If the game would work amazingly with singleplayer, as the creator to make a 1 player only version.
Having every game have a single or multiplayer option would ruin quite a lot of games. |

They used to have this option called "Solo", but I recall them removing it? They need to add this back, I mean, why not? There is no downfall, its the players choice whether they want to go solo or not, and why should that be a problem? |

@Vescutar, why? This means they could play by themselves if they wished to, I see no problem. |
|
|
you can change the amount of players to 1 |
|
|
Can't you just play solo?
Or is that for uncopylocked games only? |

@Udoxas No you dont. roblox can make it so that solo mode doesnt require the place to be uncopylocked |
|

May I make a mini-suggestion?
How bout this: Allow Single Player as stated, but while the Devs are at it allow people to develop their places offline in Studio Build Mode (Currently you can only develop places in Edit mode offline if I remember correctly). This would be perfect for those who don't always have access to an internet connection but prefer having their player physically in the game to test as they build (Like me and AT LEAST one other person on the planet).
Support. |

We kind of have this now. Except you have to pay for it: Private Servers. Still a good idea though.

Scriptable alongside the universe update. Allow me to explain:
The first place you enter will ask whether you want a single-player or multi-player server. You choose what you want and then go there.
Say if you wanted a multi-player server, you would choose that, then the game will teleport you to a separate session that is set to support an x number of players.
But if you wanted a single-player game, you choose that and the same thing will happen, only this place will support single play sessions.
TL;DR, it's very simple to script.

INB4 It should be on all games.
No, it should not. As some games are not built for single-player play and vice versa.

No support. Why would you want to play singleplayer on an MMO? Also wouldn't it get annoying if it asked whether you wanted single or multiplayer whenever you joined a game? |
