Now for kanji... Not what the necessarily what they look like at site, but ways they were created.
大
This actually a picture of a person with his arms and legs outstretched. The kanji for bigness.
女
This is a simplified and squared off picture of a woman with her legs crossed, and means woman.
子
This is a squared and simplified picture of a baby or child swaddled in a blanket or towel and means child.
好
A woman and child were combined to mean liking or fondness.
大好
In a word for love, the kanji for liking and big are put together. |
