It's understandable why you're upset over the jokes as it's certainly a lethal disease with a rather high rate of mortality depending on the strain affecting the persons, many users simply aren't willing to restrain themselves and understand the situation from another person's perspective and creating threads about this will only cause you to receive unnecessary aggression. Although, infections caused by "Filoviridae" have caused many fatalities for decades now.

"virus = disease you idiots" Not necessarily, there's plenty of Viruses/Bacteria/Fungi that are found throughout the human body which are controlled by the "Immune-System" without causing illness. Many common pathogens only cause illness when the Immune-System loses the functionality to adequately monitor and prevent the pathogen from multiplying into excessive amounts.
