It was offered as a school trip it was cool, since I consider myself feminist and I heard many speakers on domestic abuse and violence and wage gap but I overheard many guys who were those dorky redditor-like boys who were into mens rights. Ew. Why the hell did they even go...? Anyways, that was my day. I didn't have to go to school, it was lit.

Too bad everyone thinks feminism automatically is the same thing they hear from Tublr users. I'm not a feminist myslef, but I can say that lately the whole feminism hate thing is majorily made up of bandwagoners trying to fit in.

Oh the wonders of what has become modern feminism. Avoid that stuff, it teaches bad habits and isolates you from society while blaming your problems on an outside source instead of teaching self responsibility. Sadly the MRA's are just feminism in another flavor. Both rant about problems in society while never doing anything about it or attacking the problem in a completely wrong direction. I get feminists want to put a stop to problems like any normal human being but they need a change in strategy if they want to get anywhere like the ones you read in history books.

The tumblr style feminists drive me insane. It sounds to me like you ran into some level headed feminists. -AnCap-

Most of the speakers were black men but I suppose that's intentional. We were a bunch of city kids who needed relatable role models or something

People complain more about feminism than MRAs. Funny isn't it?

"there is no wage difference" If you got your statistics from the US economic bureau or something like that the wage gap is illegal you don't see an annual report on drug deals (non-busted of course) "women abuse their husbands as much husbands do their wives" who is usually bigger and women are actually killed more by their husbands than vice versa "feminism is bs" MRA is bs

@Prae That's really more of a personal issue and I have no clue why they link that to feminists and MRAs. Honestly those types of things shouldn't even be stastics used as evidence in arguments for/against these types of subjects.

I think gender equality is a great thing, but it calling it "feminism" makes it seem more towards females.

why don't you accept that women have the more important job, carrying the babies and raising a family? I think that's equal enough. Women are the drivers of families, which is by far more important than being the CEO of Big Oil Co.

" I get feminists want to put a stop to problems like any normal human being but they need a change in strategy if they want to get anywhere like the ones you read in history books." No, get this -net neutrality will be an issue -protesting in the street will result in tear gas and fire hoses the government is trying to convince us that both internet activism and rl activism are pointless... perpetuating that notion is a terrible thing to do.

@Prae But I think everyone should have the equal chance to do what they want. You can't just force women to have babies and raise a family, some people just dont want to.
GoshiDoll
#148467064Thursday, October 23, 2014 7:21 PM GMT

@pay Well there's two explanations to that. First one is because it originally was about women's rights and changed later on to gender equality but they didn't want to change the name. Second one is what you've been told isn't exactly correct. It's gender equality for women to be equal to men and not exactly for boty genders. Still considered a type of gender equality I guess.

@Goshi Yeah I know that they are going for the whole gender equality, but there are still things that women have above men. If they really wanted full gender equality, they need to help both genders.
