======== Introduction ======== ROBLOX has obviously gone through some major changes both big and small over the course of ten years. Although these changes were for the better, some people just prefer the way things originally were. It's always easier to flow with the river rather than to fight against the current, so I decided not to simulate everything that took place in ROBLOX's previous generations. This is what made ClassicEngine. ClassicEngine is a plugin designed by me to simulate minor touches classic ROBLOX had offered. Originally, ClassicEngine was, in fact, going to simulate everything. Knowing that updates would break such a plugin even after I would patch it. Also, I realized the obsession most people have with old ROBLOX when they never even experienced it was because of the community. Back then, the community was actually having fun by making crazy games and models that shoot you in the air four thousand studs or whatever. Today, the community makes high quality games that don't feature much of what was in the past. Because of this, I decided to simulate minor things such as the forcefield, old animations, etc. Major things like the old physics can't be simulated. It's up to the players to make a crazy game similar to games back then and use ClassicEngine to give it that retro feel, while still being modern. That is my dream. ======== How it Works ======== When you install ClassicEngine, there will be a variety of buttons on a toolbar. Each button simulates ClassicEngine to a certain degree. Level I simulates minor things like the forcefield, sky, old sounds, etc. Level IV, on the other hand, gives a 2006 feel such as removing animations all together and giving the player a random default 2006 character to play as. Simply click on whichever button you want with the level degree specified, press "Execute", and wait. As of right now, the wait time is a fraction of a second, but that's probably because it's not complete. ======== Development Progress ======== Currently, there is only Level I available, and all the features I'm cramming in Level I have yet to be simulated. Hopefully, all four levels should be completed by early 2015. It may even be late 2014, but don't get hopes up for that. The sky and classic plastic are two features in Level I right now. There's more, but I can only remember those two because they appear right when you hit the Execute button. The rest happen through script. Some updates to look forward to involve the character, user interface, and more. I'm not going to give details since they may change in the future, but they are coming nonetheless. If I weren't working on a game, development would be going a lot faster. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for checking this thread out, and do make sure to install ClassicEngine today! :-p http://www.roblox.com/item.aspx?id=143850626 ~EkoGam3

Awesome. Had this plugin ever since I watched your youtube videos and decided to look at your channel and watched a demo on this. Also, do the 2011 forcefield. Error 404 - Siggy Not Found

Oh, there's more to just the sky. And don't worry, updates are coming that will allow you to undo your simulation.

@Mitsos123Alt; The classic shadows are something I cannot simulate, sadly. @bloonblaster2000; All levels simulate all kinds of years. Level I is a mixture of the years 2007 to 2012, with little features coming from the years in between. @Scyblocks; There's nowhere to see it in action for now. Besides, it's not complete enough to have a full showcase of it. The force field, for example, is a 2007 feature that will be available in Level I. I will be showcasing it in one of my places as soon as it's complete. It'll also be available during its development so that you guys and I can test.
