I am already planning for a lot of sporting teams like Basketball and soccer. Possibly hockey. When us individuals have away games, the other gender of teams practice. Last year for basketball we barely got any practice, and yet we made it to the semi finals. Except on semi finals we got creamed. I have seriously came a long way with basketball. And, our team is short and luckily we have 2 big kids trying out this year (I'm one of them). Considering how the other gender of people have been making fun of us for being short, we are pretty good. I can dribble through my legs and behind my back. And I can also shoot 3 pointers without even jumping. I shoot 3 pointers using my tiptoes. Basically, I only get 3/10 in. I can sink my layups and free throws as well. In volleyball, I am the main spiker on the team.

"in school you sit all day. it's bad for you." Most individuals barely even got to the bathroom which is bad for you. Plus, at least you actually get to do something standing up.

"When we have away games on basketball or volleyball, us boys always have to change in the girls changeroom. It's a worse environment then your area. Us individuals have to change where people leave their stuff in the middle of the floor. Some changerooms I even see chewed up pieces of gum on the floor which is disgusting. Some of the changing rooms even reek too." --- Wow. I'm suprised your school doesn't get sued for having the same gender in the same changing room. Though, the rest is a similar story to my school. There is chewing gum on the walls and ceiling and people throw their food and drink on the floor. They also sing their heads off but that's a different story.

@iiMarsh/gold all Physical Education does is switch from sitting all day to standing around. Unless of course you are the few who participates actively, of which many already receive the physical benefits elsewhere anyways. @lord implying Phys. Ed actually helps people who need exercise get exercise The potato speaks the truth

@lord the people who actually exercise in Phys. Edu. aren't the ones that need it. Its mostly the kids who are in several other sports. The other kids just stand around in soccer/football/basketball whatever it is. The potato speaks the truth

"one hour of exercise doesnt seem like a lot but it actually is it's half of what you the amount of exercise you need per day" Excellent point. Although, exercise itself should be utilized consistently.

Exercise is pretty useful for people. At least 50% of boys in my class have abs. Considering how healthy eating choices can get you abs you still need to exercise.

An hour of exercise should be higher to 90 minutes.

Depending on how much you exercise, you could remain in a healthy individual.

"doesnt really matter, every tiny bit of exercise helps!" Fair point, however I dont find the need to devote an entire hour of class for 10 minutes of exercise. "Exercise is pretty useful for people. At least 50% of boys in my class have abs. Considering how healthy eating choices can get you abs you still need to exercise." I'm not against exercise. I'm simply against the notion of Physical Education where only 10% of the class benefits from what it promises. Maybe change it so that everyone has to participate or put people in similar skill levels alike to make it more competitive. The potato speaks the truth

Your point on saying it should be increased to 2 hours is actually a good point. Precisely, it should mean individuals should actually exercise more than they are supposed to.

"I'm simply against the notion of Physical Education where only 10% of the class benefits from what it promises." Better idea: realize it's not the instructor's fault some people don't feel like doing it. Heck, we're not even allowed to tackle each other in football anymore so you guys can have fun too.

Every time we play one of those tackle games like football, we have to do "2 touch" which is completely overrated.

"Better idea: realize it's not the instructor's fault some people don't feel like doing it." Japan actually has a very good form of Physical Education where everyone DOES benefit from it. Although there are still variations in the amount of benefit, the average person still gain much more out of Japanese "Phys. Ed" as opposed to the ones in the curricula today. I perhaps should have said in the title either change it or remove it, the current method right now is extremely ineffective The potato speaks the truth
