Expedition is a survival game created as a joint effort between Wheatlies and devAdrian, made to be an alternative to survival games such as survival 303 and survival beginnings. Expedition, while sharing a few key features, is very different from these two games and most survival games that have been made on roblox, while still sharing the same goal that the other games did. It can always be found at this URL: http://www.roblox.com/Expedition-place?id=182415731 Ideas and comments are welcome in this thread, as well as general criticism, comparisons between this game and other survival games, etc. Expedition: A ROUGH GUIDE FOR ROUGH RUFFIANS ROUGHLY Part 1: Your first day in expedition BASIC CONTROLS: E to forage things G to open inventory, drag things into the use box to use them, drag into crafting box to craft them, drag onto floor to drop them. BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER: Shift is the key to sprint, this drains stamina, if you run or swim with low stamina, you will die. Do not do it. You are not designed to be able to swim, you are supposed to make a raft or a boat. [SKIP THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT A TUTORIAL, THE REST IS FOR REFERENCE SUCH AS RECIPES] Once you spawn in you'll be on one of two islands, the gated island and the S shaped island Both of these islands contain many resources that you're able to harvest. First you'll need logs. Get to the nearest fully grown tree and click on it, a progress bar will show up Once the bar is gone the tree will fall apart, yielding three logs and whatever fruit the tree had. You can forage logs with e, once they're in your inventory (g) you can craft them. Drag the logs into the crafting box and hit craft item to get a split wood, and craft the split wood to get a handle. A handle is an item required for almost every tool in the game. While you're at it, drag your paddle into the "use item" box, this will act as your first weapon. (To use any item, drag it into the use box, this includes armor, weapons, FOOD, and seeds) Now you need rope, to get this, find a nearby hemp plant (tall, leafy sort of plant) and forage it. Craft the plant into a stalk and two seeds, and craft the stalk into rope. Now you'll need stone. You should have rocks somewhere near by, look for rocks with little gray bits sticking out of them, this is stone, click to harvest it. You'll need two. Once you have your two stones, craft each of them into a split stone. You should now have Two split stones, a rope, and a handle. Throw all of this into your crafting box and hit craft, You will recieve a stone pickaxe. Drag the stone pickaxe into the use box to equip it. Press q to unequip your weapon at any time. Now you're probably hungry or thirsty. Find a water source and press e when close to it to drink it, or find some fruit and pick it up, and drag it into your use box to eat it. Now you'll be taught how to build a raft, which will introduce you to the schematic system, the basis for all construction in expedition. Open up your inventory and click on the button labeled schematic_raft, and click in some nearby water to place the schematic. Once that is done, you'll see that it will display "ITEMS NEEDED: item_log: 6, item_rope: 2" WARNING: SWIMMING WITHOUT A RAFT DRAINS STAMINA, IF YOU SWIM WITH ZERO STAMINA YOU WILL TAKE DAMAGE. IF YOU RUN WITH ZERO STAMINA YOU WILL ALSO TAKE DAMAGE. This indicates the items needed to craft the schematic. Obtain these resources and then drag them from your inventory onto the ground to drop them. Drop them onto the schematic, once you've done this the proper amount of times the schematic will be created, and you will have a raft. To operate the raft, equip your paddle and step on top of the raft, and click in the direction you want to go. Now you can go anywhere, there are assorted plants on islands and assorted rocks and animals. Each of these provide new materials and peoples, harvest and plant them to work your way up the ladder. Part 2: Recipes Reference Anything that says "tool: " means that you need that tool in your inventory to make that material. Anything that says "building: " means you need to be standing near that building to make that material. THE ORDER DOES NOT MATTER split wood = log split stone = stone paddle = handle + split wood handle = split wood rope = twine + twine twine flax seed flax seed = flax rope = hemp stalk leather + leather + leather = tanned cowhide hilt = handle + leather tanned cowhide = cowhide {building: leatherworks} leather + leather + leather = tanned cowhide torch = handle + hemp stalk bucket = rope + split wood club = split stone + split wood hammer = stone + handle stone axe = split stone + rope + handle thatching = wheat + wheat bronze knife blade = bronze stone pickaxe = split stone + split stone + rope + handle iron blade = iron + iron (Tool: hammer) {Building: grindstone} bronze axe head = bronze (Tool: hammer) hammer = handle + stone bronze = copper ore + tin ore {Building: forge} arrowhead = split stone arrowshaft = handle cloth = cotton + cotton + cotton bandage = cotton + cotton string = cotton fishingrod = string + handle bow = handle + handle + string cloth armor = cloth + cloth + cloth cowhide armor = tanned cowhide + tanned cowhide + tanned cowhide Part 3: Animals reference Turtle: Friendly Cow: Friendly (runs away when hit) Gazelle: Friendly (runs away when hit) Ostrich: Neutral (friendly until hit) Rhino: Hostile Bear: Hostile Part 4: Misc Click water with a bucket to fill the bucket and click with a full bucket to drink it, this provides 40 thirst. Click the utter of a cow with an empty bucket to fill the bucket with water. Click an inflamed area with a water bucket to put out nearby fire. Click with a paddle equipped when on a raft to steer the raft. Click and hold a bow to charge it, release when at a full charge for the most damage. To fish with a fishing rod, click when near water, wait for the bobber to go down, and click again. Click a schematic from the list to place it down and drag materials onto the schematic to build it. Cooked items and bread increase stamina. Eating raw meat will take health but it wont poison you. devAdrian is a wierdo. Updates will be posted to this guide periodically, or if a crucial feature is introduced and it is deemed necessary, a new guide will be made altogether.

Also: Added a flatboat. It's big. It's awesome. Steer it with the paddle just like the raft.

Fishing is not that hard, but I guess that's subjective. You can make compost by crafting fruit while next to a compost bin.
