When I say "contracts", you have already probably shied away from this idea, saying "EW, PAYING PLAYERS WITH VIRTUAL MONEY - DISGUSTING" I'm not talking about PAYING PLAYERS, because, I agree, that's disgusting. This type of "contract" is something that confines a player to a certain team for a certain amount of seasons, in which they are able to agree to a deal sent by the team owner, which fixes the following: - Keepers: They're completely removed, replaced by the people that you signed for a multiple-season contract, which would carry over into the next season - People who complain about people "holding them hostage" - the player has the opportunity to agree to the deal, and if they are stuck with a huge contract on a team they don't like, it's their fault Still not convinced? I understand, some of you (Death especially) is not liking the potential for stacking teams if everyone signs 45-season contracts to a team. First off, the maximum length of the contract will be 3 seasons (it could potentially increase to 4 though). When a player's contract is down to the final season, teams can negotiate a contract extension to have the player remain on the team. The first season of the contract is determined by the season they signed it. In other words, if you sign a 3-season contract halfway through the season, you're only going to get 2.5 seasons out of it. If a player wishes to terminate the contract, they must pay a contract termination fee, which I'm not sure what that's going to be yet, and I'm open to suggestions for it. Again, this is not to give players a bunch of virtual cash for playing on a virtual professional team. It's to help organize teams, because we can easily keep track of contracts and then highlight the expiration of contracts. Speaking of, when a player's contract expires, they will head to the draft pool for the following season. Only season contracts may be signed (1-3). What's your thoughts on it, and how could we make this better? (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ It ain't easy being Cheesey! {♥‿♥}

And, in addition, instead of having "KEEPERS", the players who have time remaining on their contract will be brought into your roster for the next season, as I mentioned earlier. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of players in that. However, remember that you will have to drop extra players by a certain date if you go over the roster maximum. You will have time to figure out who it is, maybe a week following the draft or so. After that, roster penalties will be issued. Players who are drafted must sign a contract with the team no later than a week after the draft. After that, they will be released into free agency. (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ It ain't easy being Cheesey! {♥‿♥}

It's not like these contracts are going to do anything anyway because teams die every year.

It's a good idea, but like Cap said, most of the teams die after 1 season.

I think it's a good idea. I think we need to develop a system to stop people from breaking contract without paying the fee. I also agree with P21's idea of the 3 game contracts for try-outs or rookies. Also, will players have a period where they can negotiate a new contract once their contract expires or will they be put right into the draft pool.
