How many GB does your GPU need if you are going to be playing big games like Battlefield 4, watch dogs, Dayz, Cs: go, etc on High-Ultra settings? |

8GB, minimum. Always good to have SLI GTX 980's.

2gb or maybe 4gb.
Although 1gb is normally fine.

8 Gb? a gtx 760 8 gb would probably cost as much a gtx 770 2gb I thought it would at least be less than 5 |

4 is the BARE minimum, 6 is good, 8 is better, and anymore is overkill. Which I plan on doing soon. |
I can't even find a GTX 750 ti 8 GB in any store all i see is 4 gb max |
i got an R9 280

2 GB of memory seems to be the standard for most GPUs. |

We're talking gpu vram
For GPU:
1GB is absolutely a no for WD/BF4 and is used on weaker cards,
2GB is somewhat reasonable, in some cases better than good,
3GB is ok or even very good,
4GB is great,
6GB is overkill.

The most demanding vram I can find is for BF4 which requires 3GB for recommended(512mb minimum which isn't that much though)
So go if you're not planning to play BF4 ultra 1080p than go with a 1GB or 2GB card. |
and if I am planning on ultra 1080p then 4 gb? |
@lethal I currently have a 2GB card and it runs everything great at 1080p, never had a card greater than 2GB so I can't really give a good answer. |
I guess I'll get 2gb then |

Seeing as how you guys are idiots.
2GB is PLENTY for 1080p gaming, even at ultra.
Anything above a 260x from AMD or a 750ti from Nvidia will reach high-ultra settings at 1080p at a pleasant playable FPS.
----
8GB of RAM is a good amount for your actual PC, not GPU.

3GB is my 1440p recommendation, with anything above a 290 or 770 recommended.
3GB+ for 4k, with 290x (Min) or a 780ti/980, though I would suggest SLI/X-Fire |

Oh, in that case, 1 gb is the bare minium, 2 gb and up is good. IMO 1 GB is pretty good too, as i have a 1 GB 7850 and play everything from high to max |
3GB would be the bare minimum for the maximum settings. |

@Rampage
Lolwat
it doesn't work that way
Seriously. My 770 /easily/ does max settings with 2GB. 2GB at 1080p is all you need. |
