i don't care if their schedule is weak or whatever, until someone beats them i have no reason to say that any other team is better than them
now i'm all in favor in comparing miss state and florida state because they've both lost, but if FSU doesn't make the top 4 at the end of the season and is unbeaten especially after winning the national championship last season.... good god

Because the rankings are based off of this season and not past accomplishments. But if they go undefeated they'll be in. They play in a Power 5 conference and have faced a few decent teams |

No, they're not. Firstly, you claim you're not basing your claims off of past seasons, then you list past seasons. Secondly, it does not matter at all what they did last year. 2013 do not prove they are the 2nd best team in 2014.
Still, if they go undefeated, they'll make it. They still have to play Miami and Florida as well as Boston College.
Quality wins:
Clemson, Louisville, Notre Dame. These are not enough, OR good enough to be ranked in the top 2. The SEC and Pac-12 are rich with great teams.
