No and no. Both can be used to troll and get away with it, or make someone look stupid. I would like an amend to post button to add stuff after dashed lines.

Person 1: SPAMSPAMSPAM! Person 2: Stop. Person 3: NOOB! Person 2: Why am I the noob? *Person 3 changes it to, "Person 3 is a noob!"*

An edit button would be okay. What superluigi said wouldn't be a problem if it just left a message on the bottom saying Last edited by RANDOMGUY0958 on February 18, 2051 , since it would be obvious it was edited.

Still, it could be used for evil. Add to post is fine.

:) A lot of other forums have edit buttons that do that, so I figured, why not?

Just one question, why would you ever need to edit a post? And don't say because of a typo, because that's just stupid. Don't say to change your opinion about something either, you can just post again saying you change your opinion.

Star, *Person 1 talks about update* *Update is removed* Person 2: Huh? *Person 1 changes it to: "Update was removed"*

Wouldn't you just delete the post? I'm all for deleting your own posts, but why EDIT them?

To Starbladek: A lot of reasons. What if it's a guide to your place, and you update something? Wouldn't it be better to just add to the post instead of making another one on an entirely different page? Also, what if someone else were to post in between this and your post, and I had forgotten to put the "To Starbladek" thing there? I would want to edit it just to avoid any confusion.

For the level guide thing, I would rather just copy/paste it to another thread and make the nesessary edits. For the "To Starbladek" thing, I would just delete it and make another post.
