It's something I've thought of with this new theme update.
It works dependent on which level of BC you have, and also certain badges grant you new themes.
New NBC users start out with the current theme of the time they join. When a new site theme is introduced, they keep their first theme, and gain the new one as well.
Here are the rest of the themes that you can get and how to get them;
People who have the Bloxxer Badge get a SFotH IV theme.
People with the Official Model Maker Badge get a theme based on their endorsed game, and they're asked if they themselves want to design the theme.
Bricksmith Badge gives the Roblox currency theme, which has a bunch of both Tix and R$ stuffed into every nook and cranny of the theme.
The Veteran Badge gives players the access to all the old themes starting from the original Roblox theme up.
Members with any level of BC get themes based on their BC level.
And finally, Roblox Administrators get custom themes they can edit at any time.
You can change your theme in the options menu of your account.

I think, they should co-ordinate to what year your joined, say if you joined 09, you got 09 theme and up.

Because I quit ROBLOX when I was 7 due to not knowing what to do...
I shouldn't be able to enjoy the good old-fashioned theme?

Addition: You should be able to switch between old site themes from the day of ROBLOX's creation onward. If you had OBC at one point, you could still use the OBC theme even if you'd lost it a long time ago. |
