Feminism itself in western civilization is absolutely useless to our society. Anita's views consist of constantly pulling the victim card, yelling out "oppression" and other pathetic whiny tactics she uses.
She is the opposite of a "strong woman", every modern-day feminist is. |

Feminism at its core is an alright thing, gender-equality and all, it's just when it's hijacked by people who want to use that traction for other means is when I disagree
Most people that say that they are feminist aren't that bad or militant of anything, it's just a stark minority that do which hurt the image of the movement in itself |

The problem with radical 3rd wave feminists like Anita Sarkeesian is simple: they think that equality between the s3x3s means getting that plus special social treatment. That is not how the idea of equality between the s3xes works, because true s3xual equality in everything + special social treatment is not s3xual equality, it's s3xual superiority.
in a s3xually equal world, chivalry would truly be dead, if a woman hits a man, a man can hit her back without as much social repercussion as the act carries currently, and on top of that, women would get equal prison sentences in addition to equal wages, child custody cases would no longer favor the mothers, I could go on and on and on.
my point is simple m8: these radical feminists who are on the fringes of feminist ideology don't even understand what the movement truly stands for. They want all of the benefits and none of the consequences, which is not what feminism is about.
there are various things wrong with her series in general as well: not naming the sources of her information, cherry-picking for information that supports her argument while presenting no counterpoints or dissenting views whatsoever in order to paint her views as unchallengeable fact and truth. Cherry-picking scenes from video games to paint them as misogynist and taking some of them out of context purely for shock value, and being intellectually dishonest with her viewers on top of that. Anita Sarkeesian is not someone who should be viewed.
perfect example of the Cherry-Picking in both cases, as well as being intellectually dishonest: Anita shows a clip from a scene from Timesplitters 2 where a woman is tied to a railroad track. This scene is PARODYING that age old trope. They stop the train, well before they even reach her, untie her, and set off with her in tow. It's meant to be funny, and she completely and utter disregards this and uses the clip purely for shock value.
then there is the Teaser Trailer for Dinosaur Planet. Any and all traces of Saber, Krystal's brother, were cut out of it and Anita never mentions Saber at all, as if trying to plaint Krystal as the sole protagonist of the game. She is basically lying to her audience about the game and not disclosing the full details simply to try to make her argument work, which would make it fall flat on it's face if anyone knew the real truth. |

I know precisely the problem with new-age 'feminism', hell I'm sure most of them haven't read a bit of feminist literature (i haven't but i'm not part of that movement) or really know what it was all about
