I think the World Junior Championship is an unnecessarily overrated baby tournament. Yet I watch it because I like the game of hockey. And probably because TSN forces me to.

That being said, Finland is repeating gold this year. Puljujärvi will go 1st overall in 2016.

puljujarvi is a sleeper pick 0 points but 26 shots on goal in five games is nothing to sneeze at

If you're going to talk about his U20WC performance, keep in mind that the entire team was bad at finishing (Rantanen was the only one who was actually scoring regularly), and he still has another U20WC to play on home ice before he's drafted. He was 16 this year, and you very rarely see 16 year olds perform well in the U20WC. Even TSN gave him credit for being one of the 3 best players on Finland. Look at how he's performing in club team hockey though. He hasn't been bad for Kärpät's senior team considering he's a 16-year-old, putting up 4 points in 12 games for the best club team in Finland's league. The team is helping his development by having him play good minutes against 2nd tier men's teams, where he's had a point per game so far, instead of sending him to the U20 squad where he's out of just about everyone's league.
