The only way they should be payed is by memorabilia sales, video game contracts and ect. The team has already payed for a full ride to college and more. it's crap that I can go to the store and buy a #8 oregon jersey and Mariota doesn't get paid but Nike does.

>it's crap that I can go to the store and buy a #8 oregon jersey and Mariota doesn't get paid but Nike does. you CAN'T go to the store and buy a college player jersey, that's against NCAA rules... Iᴛ ᴀɪɴᴛ ᴇᴀsʏ, ʙᴇɪɴɢ Cʜᴇᴇsᴇʏ.

it doesn't say Mariota on the back, but it's #8. Locally, they sell the Michigan jerseys of popular players (98, had 16, had 87 for Funchess)

all collegiate jerseys with players' names on the back were banned from the NCAA on june 12th, 2014 so Iᴛ ᴀɪɴᴛ ᴇᴀsʏ, ʙᴇɪɴɢ Cʜᴇᴇsᴇʏ.

They don't have names on the back... BUT they sure as hell mean that player. I don't think they would sell a #98 jersey if Garnder wasn't there, and it's weird how #16 jerseys aren't sold anymore.
