>I get bad frame drops too. But it's probably due to crappy internet
You'll know the difference between graphical frame dropping and just internet lag.

>I get about 30 FPS on ArmA II on high settings, and then I go into DayZ mod and get about 20
Run something with a frame counter, like FRAPS or GeForce Experience/Shadowplay. If the game lags and you see the frame counter go way down, it's frame dropping. If you see the game lag and the frame counter remains neutral, it's probably just your internet.

generally my frame drops are caused by lots of particles causing weird transparency renders
see what happens when you blow up the cart on plr_hightower
that's my major lagout on my tower
