get a broken intel-based macbook and slap an SSD and two sticks of RAM inside of it.
the MBP has exceptionally good upgrade processes.
to replace the hard drive,you need to remove the back cover and battery,then slip out the white tab on the side to slide the drive out. the RAM,i forgot about it,but it's relatively easy if you don't touch the gold stuff on the stick (in fact it is actual 24 karat gold) and grab it by the edges.
