The truth is, simply put, Old Roblox wasn't better than the currant one, this is a load of BS. They'll be no Tl;Dr for this. But seriously though, what part of 08', and 09' was better? As an 08'er (Main was banned) myself, I think now is way better. The ads, the layout, the gameplay and the aesthetics. Saying they were better in 08' is complete rubbish, we didn't even have textures back then! The gameplay, and generally scripting ability is vastly superior, and with Dev Ex the quality of games and the amount of updates is vastly increased.
Don't witter on about how Roblox was 'less greedy'. Roblox needs more money for servers (Which cost a fortune), as we now have 50 million hours of traffic a week. Minecraft servers require $1 per player capacity monthly (So a 65 person server on Minecraft in CONSENT use, would cost $65 a month), but roblox servers cost far more, as they are specialist and custom built, and owned by them. So, it NEEDS more money to run than in 09' as back then we have less than 1 million hours of playing. So if it pushses it's products harder thats because it needs more money. In a blog post in '14, it was said that was the first year they were projected to BREAK EVEN, this makes make no money, but no loss too.
Also, it's a valid complaint to say there is more hackers, but this doesn't mean the entire site is ruined. Big games are likely to have hackers in them, but then most big games aren't the better ones. And if you put filtering enabled, then that'll stop lots of hackers.
Also, you can say 'There were less noobs in 09'', this is true as most people were new back then, so you simply didn't notice it. You were a noob too...
And finally, when 15' is better. Aesthetics, CSG, Streaming Enabled to name more recant ones. But we have massively brilliant things in recant years, like Dynamic Lighting, better particle effects, improved physics. How can you say 09' was better than what we have now? The gameplay now is far superior too. Previously, games would lag terribly, and games often didn't have a clean 'finish', and would be half done, but now with Dev Ex, this is nullified.
And even out of game is better, the forums are more vibrant, active and alive. Clans are amazing to be a part of, fun and more interactive. Now LMaD has really taken off, and Limiteds are more engaging and unpredictable and educational.
How can you think 09' was better? And don't tell me WRONG FORUM, I know I'm in S&I and I know it's for ideas for roblox.

Dominus is right in some aspects.
Firstly, the community was a bit better by what I've heard, though I know there were still the trolls and such here... Plus, I know from being here in '12 that the community was *much* better just two years ago, I figure the same for the rest of the years.
As for the development of the site and such, there are some good aspects, and some bad. Just depending.
And as for "wrong forum", it is not. This is directed at the forumers of S&I, we aren't going to post in OT to get S&I'ers, plus, we'd be eradicated by the constant new threads in OT as well as the trolls that hate anyone that isn't them.

First, you post a thread, not a rant on a forum page. If you want to rant go start a blog or get to the point, nobody has time to read all of that. Second off this would probably fall in off topic, since nobody cares what a person who joined in 2013 has to say about roblox 2008 and 2009. |

I just took the time to read it, and most of it is pure ignorance. Has he ever heard of an opinion? Saying that old roblox is better than new roblox is an opinion and vice versa. You can't force an opinion onto someone. It may be nostalgia, remembering back when they were a kid and they would stay up playing their favorite games, only to see the times fade away. |

Have you ever noticed the communities of a subforum? I mean, OT is a bunch of people that just act as random and rantish as they please, RP is a mixture of clowns and serious players, S&I is again, a mix of clowns and serious players, but they all have their extra aspects, and other people that they specifically want to get to. Posting an OOC in the same subforum does that without having to link it in your siggy or something.

If you think about it, this is the last place it should be. This forum is about having suggestions and moderations seeing and addressing it. This is a insignificant rant and while the moderators are looking at this, they could be reading and addressing more important matters. What are the mods supposed to do? Ban people who say old roblox is better? Everyone has their own opinion including him, and stop treating your opinion as a fact. |

Not saying they should be. It's rather a suggestion to the community of S&I, sure, S&I is supposed to be suggestions and ideas for ROBLOX, but before they can suggest, they need to be in the right.
What about all those threads about giving free R$ to NBC'ers daily? Or other such things. They need to be guided. That's what WNTS was for, but not everyone read it, or all of it, plus it was removed recently, and nor did it have everything.

While what you said is true, it isn't going to stop people from whining about how old roblox was "better." It's a shame really. No amount of logic these days has any effect on anyone.
Also, something funny. If you talk to 08'ers and 09'ers, the majority prefer new Roblox. I've found that it's mostly people from 2010-2011 saying that old roblox was better. That's ironic because they never experienced the old roblox they're asking for.

One of the reasons for thinking the new ROBLOX is better, is because they probably get a better paycheck. Yay for useless parental reassurance!
And, Phelps, I'm from 2012 and though I don't complain about the ROBLOX games and such, I do complain about many differences from that time. Specifically the community, but I know that ROBLOX can't do crap about that, unless they remove anyone being a troll or mean, which would lower the community by like, 90% or more.

The good thing about you is you can recognize the differences, even complain about them as you said, but you don't demand to have old roblox back like most do.
