no overrated = bad. its garbage. the songs are terrible. the scene that turns into real life is bad. the jokes are bad. the relationship between the main character and that girl was pretty guessable. the movie had a pretty easy to guess storyline. "oh this guy is bad here we are gonna form a team and defeat him. oh look my team got defeated in our attempt. hey he captured my girl. here ill threaten to shoot him with glue. aw hes not bad anymore he turned good at the last second"
tell me how is any of that original.

Overrated means something is not as good as everyone says it is. Doesn't make it a bad movie. A bad movie is a bad movie. For example, Destiny is still a good game even though it's overrated.
The thing about the story line is that the reason why it's so guessable is it's all just a game a young boy is playing, which I think is a pretty nice twist. Even if it wasn't, nothing is truly original. By your logic, The Matrix, The Lion King and Star Wars would all be horrible movies.

As long as the journey is good, the overall storyline's predictability doesn't matter that much. Guardians of the Galaxy had a pretty predictable overall storyline, but the journey there was great.
