Background
The first age of Kingdom Life isn’t very eventful. In the year 52 of the first age, elves came ashore from beyond the sea. They came from a place called Tharendor, or the distant lands. When they landed they inhabited a forest which they named Taure. Elves and men had many interactions when man had learned of the elves presence. The elves were an accepting race and treated man like a little brother. They formed the first city of Corinth in the year 324. Corinth would be ruled by Thuril. Thuril was a wise leader and began to send word the neighboring kingdoms about their interactions with elves. The elvish king Deloldur persuaded Thuril that it be best if leaders of all races were to form a council to decide matters of the world. Word was quickly sent to neighboring kingdoms informing them that a council is to be formed. The first meeting of the council was held at Corinth and the following attended:
Elvish Representatives:
Deloldur: King of Northern Taure
Lomil: King of Southern Taure
Human Representatives:
Thuril: King of Corinth
Garbur: King of Narith
Samlver: King of the Western Barbarian Tribes
Elmhin: King of Edovan
Dwarf Representative:
Oldar: King of the mountain of Nienor
The First Council met in the year 353 and thus the Second Age began.
The second age of Kingdom Life II is more eventful and contains a lot of important details. It is during this age small events started to lead to the makings of what will shape the current age. After the First Council met in Corinth, it was decided that Corinth would become the capital of man. Once this was decided Corinth exploded with growth and prosperity. The land which Corinth owned nearly tripled. Corinth was located near a vast mountain range. It was decided by the council that Oldar would have his brother, Ormald, build a city within those mountains. The city in which Ormald built would be called Carad. Carad was finished by the year 32. By this time, Thuril had passed away leaving Corinth to his son, Daris.
Soon after Daris inherited the throne, a group of Wizards, known as The Guild of Mages, arrived in Corinth. The head Magus, a wizard by the name of Guldir heard about the forming of The Council. Daris called Ormald and Deloldur to Corinth to discuss how they would handle The Guild of Mages. Deloldur thought it be wise to invite Guldir into the council. Ormald on the other hand thought it be wise to send the Wizards away. A feud broke out between Ormald and Deloldur, this feud would cause many future disputes between the elves of Taure and the dwarves Carad. In the end, the final decision was to grant Guldir a place in the Council. The Guild of Mages moved its headquarters into Corinth.
Centuries passed and peace was still present in all of the lands. Occasionally a war broke out between distant lands, but The Council tried its best to settle these disputes as quickly as possible. However, peace would not last. Because of the Guild of Mages now being positioned in Corinth, many young men wanted to study under these wizards and become part of the world of magic. The Guild of Mages built many structures in Corinth. The Great Library of Corinth and The Tower of Mindfulness were built for the purpose of containing vast magical knowledge. However, while there may be good in the world, evil lurks in every heart. A young wizard by the name of Jilil spent most of his time in The Great Library. Wizards believed that every type of magic should be put on display in the Library, mainly because they had a belief that everyone should have equal opportunity to learn about the extensiveness of magic. Jilil found an interest in the practices of dark magic. He began to experiment with dark magic by summoning the spirits of the dead. Unknowingly and naive, he decided he was powerful enough to summon and contain a demon. Jilil preformed the ritual and succeeded in summoning the demon. The demon was cunning and decided to play along, making Jilil believe he had control over him. The demon’s name was Gremial. Gremial constantly praised Jilil for his magical abilities and persuaded him to open a gate to the underworld. Jilil being naïve decided to go along with the plan to open the gate. Jilil began to perform the chant to open the gate. When Jilil finished the chant, Gremial immediately killed him. With the death of Jilil the gate opened. The year was 475 and The Grand War of the Second Age had begun.
Elves, Men, Dwarves, and Wizards stood against the armies of the Underworld. However, Gremial still had a role to play in this war. Gremial searched far and wide for the race of Orcs. The orcs were a massive yet distant race; they hid themselves away from the matters of the world. Gremial promised to give the orcs all the land they wanted in return for their help. The orcs agreed to what Gremial said and came to the aid of the demons. This war raged on for twenty five years. During the final year of the war, the Guild of Mages gathered for one final plan. They decided to summon the angels to help aid them. The Guild of Mages knew of the consequences and proceeded to summon the Angels. When they performed the ritual, an angel by the name of Uriel appeared to them. Uriel told them that the Angels would not descend and come to man’s aid. However, Uriel felt pity and decided to help the people of the Middle Realm. He selected some wizards and converted them to priests. These priests later became known as The Sacred Church of Corinth. The Sacred Church took in knights and converted them into Paladins, or warriors of god. Paladins, unlike regular knights, contain holy powers which are used for the purpose of vanquishing all that in unholy. Because of the actions of Uriel the link between the Underworld and the Middle Realm was sealed. This ended the Second Age in the year 500.
You now live in the Third Age of Kingdom Life II. Who will you be to help form the world. Will you rebuild the kingdom of men and help return Corinth and Taure to its former glory? Will you take part in the Guild of Mages and help stop the practice of Dark Magic? Will you try to destroy the world and make sure that demons rule the world? Will you make a peace between men and demons? This is your age to live in and yours to form.
Races
Men: Men make up 1/2 of the population of Kingdom Life II.
Elves: Elves come from the land of Tharendor. They are mainly a peaceful race; however they always seem to have disputes with the dwarves. They also have some of the strongest magical power in the world of Kingdom Life II
Dwarves: Dwarves are a very distant race; however they are not to be excluded. Besides being excellent craftsmen and artisans, Dwarves are some of the fiercest fighters in the world of Kingdom Life II.
Demons: Demons are a very vague race within Kingdom Life II. The world of demons isn’t well known so this is your time to improvise. The only thing to be known about demons is that they always think about themselves first.
Angels: Angels aren’t usually seen in Kingdom Life II. Angels usually like to mind their own business, but are also known to be very compassionate beings. The angelic race has the strongest magical power out of all the races in Kingdom Life II.
Orcs: Orcs are also a very distant race in Kingdom Life II. Orcs are very greedy creatures that always want as much as they can take. However, don’t count orcs out just yet, they are very brutish creatures and are one of the strongest races in terms of raw strength.
Major Cities-
Corinth- Was one of the largest cities in Kingdom Life II. It was burnt to the ground because of The Grand War of the Second Age and is currently being rebuilt.
Taure- This is one of the more well-known forests that the elves who landed here inhabited.
Carad- A major dwarfish mountain that was built by King Thuriel and King Ormald
Major Orders/Guilds
The Council- The council of the lords and kings of each race, whose decisions determines the fate of the world. Every king and queen is allowed to take part in The Council, as well as the head Magus (Mage).
The Sacred Church of Corinth – The church started by the angel Uriel. This church trains priests to spread the word of Uriel and trains paladins to vanquish evil.
The Guild of Mages- The Guild of Mages is responsible for all of the magical actions that take place in the world of Kingdom Life II. It is their duty to see that magic is being used accordingly and not abused by any mage.
The Guild of the Silent Blade- The Guild of the Silent Blade is a group of assassins and bounty hunters. This guild is rarely spoken of but works in the shadows for all types of groups. If a member from the Guild of the Silent Blade is after you, you best run and pray you aren’t found.
The Guild of the Prosperous Future- A group of high class merchants that are positioned within Corinth. The Guild of the Prosperous Future is a mixture of all races that pretty much controls the economic welfare of Corinth.
Khaos- Khaos is a group of Dark mages and necromancers. They were formed after The Grand War and they see Jilil as their Idle. They are hell-bent on destroying the world and reestablishing the link from the Underworld to the Middle Realm.
This concludes the lore of Kingdom Life II. Obviously because this is a roleplaying game, you don’t have to follow this lore. The great thing about Kingdom Life II is that you can form your own path and do whatever you want to do. This also isn’t a completed version of the lore, I made this in one night. This is mainly for thelolguy301 to review. I hope you enjoy it.
