The start of a new year means new opportunities for the WWE roster, and there’s none bigger than the Royal Rumble Match. WWE’s annual over-the-top rope extravaganza is rapidly approaching, which means 30 Superstars will soon be battling it out to earn a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match on The Grandest Stage of Them All — WrestleMania 31.
This year’s edition of the WWE Royal Rumble, is really a two match show, but they are two big time matches. Of course, we have the match that officially starts the “Road to Wrestlemania” in the Royal Rumble match. 30 Superstars compete to try to be the last one standing and gain an opportunity to be in the main event of Wrestlemania 31. Then there’s also the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat match where Brock Lesnar defends his title against not only John Cena, but a Money in the Bank briefcase wielding Seth Rollins as well. Although the remaining portion of the card is the definition of filler, at least there is a Tag Team Title match in there too. As if you need any convincing to watch this PPV or WWE Network special event, but the 411 staff are going to try to do their best.
