Yes, I know there are 36^20 or so remaining usernames, minus a few ten/hundred million or whatever. However, even with new naming conventions, comprehensible (i.e. not gibberish and without tons of numbers) usernames are starting to deplete. We still have time before it becomes an issue, but it would be best not to wait until it's a catastrophe. Permitting every (or more) Unicode characters will increase the username amount dramatically, from 36^20 to well over 100^20, depending on how many characters are implemented. We can leave spaces and full stops out, since those can be used to record the past, but adding things like Æ and ȣ will not only increase the amount of usernames, but also increase the amount of languages that a username can represent properly. What about banning every Unicode letter that shows a normal letter Or people would use it for swearing...

Sounds good. But only with things that are obviously identical, like Х. Things like À should be fine. DanBrowned, the sultan and dark lord of Off Topic.

... A catastrophe for a lack of user names? Seriously, 5000 words in the english language, and then you have languages such as Latin and made up words, like Valoric which sound cool. Seriously, a good user name just needs some thought. -[Don't try and exceed the limit by lowering it ~ DominusPrimus }-

Like I said, it isn't soon, but at the current rate, reasonable usernames will slowly become more scarce. This is just solving the problem before it becomes one. DanBrowned, the sultan and dark lord of Off Topic.

No game EVER has had this problem. If you go on Runescape, I bet less than 1% of the users names used on there which are not users that use the same user name for each game, are also on roblox. Also, there is a reason you can't use unicode. If you can use @ to censor the letter A, it can beat the system and wreck havoc. All you've done here is try and think up a problem, and this one to be frank, is not there. On my old account I had my surname, and then 12. Markham12 is a fine username. Smith15, Mitchell20 work. And less common surnames like Moir13, Peskin1 are fine. -[Don't try and exceed the limit by lowering it ~ DominusPrimus }-

It's not just lack of usernames, which was more of a thing I taped on. It's for multilingual support, which unicode is pretty much the king at. By permitting things like •È, more languages will be supported with higher ease. DanBrowned, the sultan and dark lord of Off Topic.

... That is an accent. An accent chances how you say it. For example, it's technically café.The won't be added because of it's exploitability. -[Don't try and exceed the limit by lowering it ~ DominusPrimus }-

Let's go search up a user! How, exactly?
