I don't see the problem with one person building a game and one person scripting it, but if someone hires someone just to create the game and the person who did all the work wasn't given credit and they got none of the profits then that's asinine.

People can do what they want. If the person they hired is on board with it, then it's entirely fine, whether or not you agree with it. People should be able to search for and hire developers if they so please to. I for one like to do it because even though I can build, I often do not have the time so I like to pay other people to do it for me. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
