Recently, I thought of, what if ROBLOX was on my PS4, or on my 3DS? I would be able to just search a nice game like, call of robloxia, or other games, from Six shifts at Shedletskys just to a nice showcase. Now how would it be made exactly? Not sure, how exactly this would work, but I think once ROBLOX created it for other systems, it would take maybe a month for developers to create the controls for certain consoles... So, any suggestions? Pro's and cons? kk thxs bai

-Pros- More publicity More money for Roblox Action on bigger screens Something different == -Cons- More hackers WHICH IS A REALLY BIG PROBLEM == But if this will happen, how will it be formatted? Will it be (for PS3 & xBoX) that one of the control sticks is moving the screen while the other moves the mouse? Robust - Designer/Trader

If you think ROBLOX should be put on consoles, you are an idiot.

" More hackers WHICH IS A REALLY BIG PROBLEM" More hackers? No one is hacking on Roblox and no one is hacking on consoles.

Tell me how you're supposed to use GUIs and chat and use keyboard commands on the game console, huh?

ROBLOX is a PC master race exclusive.

"Tell me how you're supposed to use GUIs and chat and use keyboard commands on the game console, huh?" Much like the way you use GUIs on any other console game? And for the most part it's just translating if you're using a controller vs mouse and/or keyboard and then mapping keys.

"How am I a idiot for suggesting something cool?" Yes, you are suggesting something "cool". But this is a horribly pointless idea, as ROBLOX on consoles would control worse than any FPS game. I mean, you're on a freaking PC. Use it. It's better than consoles, so use it.

ROBLOX has too many controls that are keyboard-exclusive. We can already see that, because ROBLOX Mobile only has a joystick you drag to move, chat, and a jump button.

PS4 would probably work. The 3DS would be laggy as hell.

ROBLOX needs to be a 3DS app, and a separate update app, like Pokémon X and Y.

You forgot a few other cons: - Not all consoles may be optimized with the graphics - Would take more work for game developers. - Custom controls.

No, no, no. And even if this becomes a thing, don't be surprised when no games support consoles. Nobody is going to waste time adding controller layout support to their game when instead they can be adding more content.

"roblox with a controller would open lots of possibilities" true, true. but it's incredibly useless, since things like the thumbpad would be incredibly slow and un-responsive.

"ROBLOX has too many controls that are keyboard-exclusive. We can already see that, because ROBLOX Mobile only has a joystick you drag to move, chat, and a jump button." So program a button (GUI) to allow you to do other things... That's what game developers do for every console/phone app. "- Not all consoles may be optimized with the graphics" The hardware requirement for most consoles will surpass the recommended requirement for computers. Roblox isn't entirely graphically intense. "- Would take more work for game developers." Less so than iOS or Adroid. "- Custom controls. " This has nothing to do with a console. "roblox with a controller would open lots of possibilities, but would cause lots of programming problems" Explain the problems you speak of. I don't see any problems. "but it's incredibly useless, since things like the thumbpad would be incredibly slow and un-responsive." Not sure what you're talking about. You clearly never developed for a console. "No, no, no. And even if this becomes a thing, don't be surprised when no games support consoles. Nobody is going to waste time adding controller layout support to their game when instead they can be adding more content." "Controller Layout Support" isn't something that's entirely hard. Roblox can follow Unity's approach and allow you to assign variables that will 1 to 1 cross over platforms. Such as "Fire1". For example, in Unity you'd do Input.GetAxis("Fire1"); //Depends on computer or console, could be left mouse or right trigger.

A lot of games would have to be changed a lot for it to function right. Also, this may lead to people creating games that work best for a specific console only, causing problems with other people. It would be too much of a bother for creators to make a game that works perfectly on all consoles and PC. It's a good idea, but would end up bringing up a lot of problems for the games and creators.

An example of one of the problems I speak of: The relatively new game, Strife, requires you to press keys and such. Like using F to bring out your weapon A lot of games use custom controls such as this. It would end up buggy if the owner inserted more than one script for this sort of thing. Or what if the owner of games ends up just doing it for, say, PS4, and leaving out the others?

Think about it, if you tried to play Call of Robloxia 5 on console it's not going to be very easy. For one, the game wouldn't have aim assist unless the creator implemented it for console players.
