For my own personal enjoyment: The Clique book series by Lisi Harrison, anything written by Carl Hiaasen, Judy Blume (especially the Peter Hatcher/Fudge series) , Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys series's, Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, ON THE RUN SERIES!!!! BY GORDON KORMAN (BEST READS EVER), Phyllis Reynolds Naylor (Shiloh series), Shattering Glass by Gail Giles (book is set in Houston too. Good but depressing read), After by Francine Prose, the Twilight series, A-Z Mysteries by Ron Roy Serious books: Black Boy by Richard Wright, Rebel Yell by S.C. Gwynne (I enjoy Stonewall Jackson's tactics and quotes), Number the Stars, Mein Kampf (condensed version) i'm definitely missing some but that's all right

Im a pretty big fan of John Grisham's books. My mom gave me The Associate by him to read on a plane ride home and I really enjoyed it. I've also read The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Confession, and part of The Partner but I never got around to finishing it. I also watched the movie versions of A Time to Kill and The Firm.
