We can all agree that the content moderation bot, the bot that checks decals, shirts, pants, models, etc, is bad at its task. It tends to delete content that isn't inappropriate at all and then leaves some inappropriate things untouched.
I uploaded an HD skybox model this morning (http://www.roblox.com/Cloudy-Day-Skybox-HD-item?id=216623926) that got insta-deleted by the content moderation bot because it presumably "violated the rules." If you want to see what this skybox actually looked like, these are the six images it used:

http://www.roblox.com/Images-graycloud-bk-item?id=216621540
http://www.roblox.com/Images-graycloud-rt-item?id=216621507
http://www.roblox.com/Images-graycloud-dn-item?id=216621495
http://www.roblox.com/Images-graycloud-ft-item?id=216621479
http://www.roblox.com/Images-graycloud-up-item?id=216621461
This bot has been like this for a long time and needs serious fixing. |

Contrary to popular belief, ROBLOX doesn't use bots within the content moderation line of the website. Each asset is seen by a real person, and they're only human; mistakes happen.
I would also like to point out that if ROBLOX were using bots it would guarantee a reliable moderation time. As it currently stands, assets can take any amount of time to be approved/declined. A few hours? Maybe. A few minutes? Maybe. And so on. |

So what you're saying is that actual people look over every one of the millions of pieces of content that get uploaded. I have actually noticed a time when content gets approved/disapproved, it usually occurs between 4 and 5 pm central time (2 and 3 pm west coast, 3 and 4 pm mountain, 5 and 6 pm eastern).

@Valt,
I'd refute the claim that there is millions of assets being uploaded on a daily basis in terms of assets which require pre-moderation (which excludes assets such as player places, etc). However, yes that's what I'm saying.
For images they spend a couple of seconds glancing over the image and for audio they listen to the asset a few times. However, with both of these, there are circumstances where something will be outright declined. For example, if a particular word can't be understood in the audio or if the moderators can't reasonably see what text says on an image.

@StoreBot
Then explain how almost all the decals "Kitten" had that were not deleted. |

"Wow, they are using bots to moderate images? There's not even a public AI that is able to universally do that! Are the owners of ROBLOX time travellers or something?"
Being serious, I think that heavily overworked moderators are much more likely to make mistakes during their 2 second glance at a decal, than actual bots that do that if they existed. |

All moderation done at ROBLOX are from humans, not bots. |

it's true, especially for audios. Roblox should tell us before we even have to PAY for creating audios that they are inappropriate etc., or else at least refund us. I spent 300 rs recently creating the same song because I had to clean it even more and apparently "high" is a bad word? Im guessing thats what it was. the problem is clear: roblox does a terrible job of just telling us whats inappropriate and whats considered not cause i really would like my 300 rs back :) what a waste of time effort and money!

Not just that! I uploaded an image to a decal. I got a warning for a small link I couldnt even see, meanwhile there are other decals with other links on them not being moderated. Very unfair and very unprofessional on roblox's side! |
