Me and my friend had a debate on whether or not solid modeling actually saves bricks. If you have two bricks, and make them a union, you get one "union" which is considered one part. Or if you negate a brick, you delete some of it, but it's still considered one part. or you can put lots and lots of bricks together. I personally found my games having less lag if I use solid modelling, if I have 1000 bricks, moving them around would be laggy. If I have those 1000 bricks in 10 unions (100 bricks per union), I wouldn't get as much lag moving them around. So does solid modelling save bricks and remove lag? Or does it not? |
