Me and my friend had a debate on whether or not solid modeling actually saves bricks. If you have two bricks, and make them a union, you get one "union" which is considered one part. Or if you negate a brick, you delete some of it, but it's still considered one part. or you can put lots and lots of bricks together. I personally found my games having less lag if I use solid modelling, if I have 1000 bricks, moving them around would be laggy. If I have those 1000 bricks in 10 unions (100 bricks per union), I wouldn't get as much lag moving them around. So does solid modelling save bricks and remove lag? Or does it not?

It all depends on how much pain your computer can take...

Unions -- less lag but straight out takes time to load which may be seen as lag the reason for less lag is all in rendering
