The salty sea air slammed against your face, the boat rocking back and forth, making you slightly sea sick. Nothing, however, could spoil your god mood, for you and your small band of guard have at last spotted land, and are preparing to dock at a makeshift wooden platform made for docking ships. Of course, your transport could hardly be considered a ship, more a fishing boat, but what could a poor soul such as yourself do, when tasked with living in poverty or rolling the dice and trying at fortune and riches? Looking at the line that you could recognize at land, you began to remember everything from your early life up to your present. Your name is ___, and you were born in the far away land of Ungar, your father working as a ___ and your mother a ___. Fill in the blanks.

You spent much of your early life at sea, making your life filled with adventure and the salty sea air. While your family were poor, they did all they could to afford you a decent enough education, but they mainly taught you how to sail a ship and how to barter, leaving your customer thinking they got the better end of the deal. Then, at about age twelve, you took an apprenticeship as...

You took work as a magician, your master teaching you the ropes of magic. Soon enough, your master began to teach you basic combat magic, as well as that silly illusion stuff that is taught in the real world. Then, as an adult, you found interest in the profession...

As an adult, and using your newfound skills from your apprenticeship and your learnings from your mother to be a merchant, bartering and making superb deals. Then, you decided to give it up and travel to Ungar. Your reasons are personal to you and I, and only us. You traveled to the land because..

Your fuel for travelling to this new world was a dream of great riches and wealth. The second to last part of character creation is the race. Human Jack of all trades, other than bartering with anyone in the other races, do to hate among other races. Easiest race. Elf Efficient in spells and ranged combat, debuff to melee. Dwarves Skilled in melee combat, however this is punished by low skills in magic/ranged. Goblins Skilled with engineering magic, and the only ones able to construct airships. Also good at bartering, however lack of combat skills. Easily the most difficult race to play as.

You were an elf, and your connection to magic was only strengthened by the years you had spent as a magician's apprentice. NOTE!!!! THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO TURN BACK. AFTER THIS YOUR SKILLS WILL BE DECIDED AND THERE IS NO EDITING YOUR BACKSTORY. ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU LIKE YOUR CHOICES?

Your destiny is sealed. Skills are a bit complicated. You start out with five base points, ten skill points, and ten combat points. Base points decide things like intelligence, charisma, strength, agility, etc, while skill points are much more specific, like prisoner management and power throw. How many points you can put into them are decided by your base skills. Meanwhile, combat skills are skills such as polearms, single hand weapons, etc. So far, according to your backstory, your stats are as such... BASE SKILLS Strength: 6 Intelligence:11 Charisma:9 Agility:6 NORMAL SKILLS Power Strike:0 Power Throw:0 Power Draw:0 Horseback Riding:0 Horse Riding:0 Path Finding:0 Spotting:0 Prisoner Management:0 Wound Treatment:0 Speed:0 Bartering:2 Magic:2 Negotiations:1 Leadership:0 COMBAT SKILLS Single Hand Weapons:21 Both Hand Weapons:13 Pole Arms:12 Archery:43 Crossbows:54 Wand Work:60 Staff Work:62

Alrighty. -- You step off the ship and onto the dock, rubbing your temple with anticipation, excited for the journey ahead of you. For today, you decide to stay at a tavern. You take a horse and ride to the nearest city. You approach the tavern, however whether you drink or not is up to you.

I do not drink, instead look for information in the tavern.

You sit down at a table, behind a group of laughing elves. "You hear about King Darien? Claimed he summoned the War God and killed his rival! More like tired him out after being carried across the battlefield by the crotch!" The elves laughed, and it was very clear they were drunk, because most of them spoke in slurred voices and were behaving rather strangely. A distressed looking man enters the tavern, and approaches your table. "Mind if I sit here?" He asks you.

"No, not really" I speak without any real change in my voice.

"Thanks." He says with a small grunt, and he sits down. "It's not very often elves allow humans to sit with them...my fellows have killed too many of your race...curse the devil..." He says in a tired voice, leaning back and ordering a drink.

"Have you killed elves? I doubt it."

#156107123Monday, February 16, 2015 4:08 PM GMT

"No, but your people think that all humans are bad, judging us off of what our less than pleasant fellows do." He thanked the tavern girl for the drink and took a sip. "Ale." He said, looking rather miserably into his cup.
levian8877
#156107223Monday, February 16, 2015 4:09 PM GMT

I lean my head on my hand. "You should never judge a man on his race."
birm123
#156107371Monday, February 16, 2015 4:12 PM GMT

He takes another drink. "You are quite wise. I'm glad I asked you to sit with, and not your brothers behind you..." He looked behind over your shoulder uncomfortably as the elves threw him menacing looks when not drinking and laughing at each other's jokes.
