I was just wondering because a lot of people don't consider Gretzky to be the best goal scorer, cuz they just don't realize how good he was. People often say "he was a playmaker, he wasn't that good at scoring"

depends using the adjusted stat formula ovechkin has scored 72 goals in the first half of the season but gretzky was the best scorer if you actually analyze his game
