you should make it where roblox player is a program that opens in your computer! this could mean you can add extra features to roblox! you should think about this!

Roblox studio is a program where you create places and stuff... But the roblox program/app is where you have it on your computer and acts like the roblox website, but roblox can customize it better and probably make it easier than a website, but of course not all computers will have the capability of the application, so it makes it where the website can still be up only for catalog, trading, etc.

I'm sorry, you are not making sense to me, nor anyone else. ROBLOX Studio exists, and it seems to do exactly that which you desire it to, except i do not think you can customize the graphical user interface. So, you want to customize the buttons?

I'm going to explain this step by step, ok? Roblox studio is a place to create stuff and places, it can do the same as a browser can such as playing games, messaging, customize, etc. The roblox app version is where it has great custom features where the roblox game applications open up a lot faster and where the developers have more control over what it does. Such as preventing hackers to hack into it because some hackers use html coding to crack a code which can give them free roblox cards that give them money, clothing, builders club etc. They can also use this to computer ban people so people don't create new accounts just to bully other people, but the ban can be timed ban. They could also make it where nobody can access the files on program files as only roblox can only be able to. This is starting to get out of the question, but you get the idea!

It technically is already a desktop app, it just requires a connection through the internet to function. The game is multiplayer, and everything is stored via Roblox. Unless you have files for your spaces on your computer, you cant do much with it. If you do have your spaces files, you can work offline in Studio, and play your spaces through it, but you cant access the community model library or anything like that. Even then, im not sure the client can run Standalone without an internet connection anyway, i think it has alot of checks that require a user account to be online.

I'd like to know what kind of "extra features" you have in mind. Having it on a website is much simpler than a program, there are HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of reasons for that. But if you could list of some of the specifics...

Try opening a roblox page with Studio, it should be working. Roblox used something like that as a 'ROBLOX-only browser', under the name 'ROBLOX player". Nobody used it. If roblox devs want a new feature, they don't need to make a new program. If you are talking about the program you use when playing on a roblox place, that is a program already.

The main issue with this is none of that is necessarily true. For starters, a roblox port to a program would likely make it more vulnerable to exploiters and hackers as they would likely do a port instead of rebuilding the whole client. Also, people dont "hack" using html coding to get free roblox cards. That whole idea is more of a fictional myth than anything. You can't just "hack" roblox. Same with these "program files". Only holes formed by roblox can get programmers access to this. Onto the timed ban, that's already possible and wouldn't need a program. IP banning (computer ban) is only for severe cases though and is somewhat flawed because of the use of VPNs. Users can get around of this regardless.
