I think there should be a new section in character called "Back". There are a lot of hats that go on your back such as wings, swords, tails, etc. I think those should be a separate selection. At the same time, this would add more things you can wear. You can wear 3 hats, why not 3 "Back" items?
If this can't be done for whatever reason, just add a few more hats that you can wear at once. 4 or 5 hats at once would be great, but I still think this "Back" idea would be great.
