Wes Anderson is my favorite because of his style and humor. He is the next Stanley Kubrick.

My personal favorite is Christopher Nolan, as he has managed to make films that have been both fantastic, as well as original (something few directors can claim, nowadays). I also enjoy Joss Whedon's movies.

Martin Scorsese - His nice and long takes in movies like The Wolf of Wall Street and The Departed was awesome. He also brought the most amazing visuals I have ever seen in a kid's movie with Hugo. The way that film looked and the way everything was brought together was really really good. James Wan - The way that he didn't way the potential he had with movies like Insdious 1 & 2 and The Conjuring really shows that this is probably one of the best horror movie directors there has ever been. I'm excited to see what he does with the Fast and Furious franchise. Matthew Vaughn - Do I have to explain? This guy is atleast in the Top 10 best directors of the 2000s. Kick-Ass 1 & 2 were great movies folllowed with great direction. Kingsmen is another good example. Matthew Vaughn really gets how to film action with his own style and not have it blown with over the top explosions every 3 minutes. He doesn't have shakey cam and that other stuff, when he films an action scene you can actually see what's going on.
