My game didn't save

I spent a few hours playing with the gamepad feature that just came out and had created a successful prototype simulator for aircraft controls using a controller. I wasn't ready to publish anything since it was just a test to see how it works so I decided to save it to my computer. That was about an hour ago. I decided just now that I wanted to keep working on it and when I opened it up everything was gone. The script in ServerStorage as well as the Part in workspace that I was using as a control part. Both gone.

I just re-did all that work. Thankfully since I already did it once I remembered most of it all. I just saved it to my computer and made sure to keep the place open while opening that file I just saved. It still did not save anything. I placed both the script and the part I was testing on into ServerStorage and upon opening the newly saved file... It was empty. Nothing except the new game template. Camera and baseplate. Neither the script nor the testing part were still in ServerStorage.

It's beginning to become a pain. I have to publish my work just to save it now.
