How did I think of this?
I was just looking around, finding good background for my games main thumbnail, then I found a really good one, so I designed the thumbnail, uploaded it to ROBLOX, then once it passed moderation, it looked really good. But then, I already had made the game passes, and their 'outdated' look didn't match the game nicely, and didn't really show professionalism. I really wanted to change them to brand new ones so the professionalism increases, but alas, ROBLOX did not add a feature for this. This is how my idea started.
If this was implemented, how would we use it?
This would be implemented really easily. Just like we have the ability to change the thumbnails of places, we could change the thumbnail of badges/game-passes. This is how you would do it:
1. Go to the game-passes page.
2. Go to the gear icon on the top-right corner, and click it.
3. Choose 'Configure this Game Pass'.
4. Where you see the image of the game-pass, there would be a small little button in one of the corners saying 'Change Thumbnail'.
5. Click the 'Change Thumbnail' button.
6. You will be given then option to upload the desired image.
7. You would then prompted to pay a fee of 25 Robux.
8. The image is moderated and then uploaded to the website.
9. Enjoy your new thumbnail!
I saw in step 7 that you had to pay 25 Robux, why?
ROBLOX needs to pay for moderators, so we, the children are safe from inappropriate things; this would help ROBLOX afford to do this. Also, the current system of changing a place thumbnail also costs 25 Robux, so it should be fair that game-passes has the same. Although, it would be nice if ROBLOX would make it lower, or even free.

Support. I've been requesting this since like a year ago ;/
I'll bump this every-hour to make sure this time It actually gets noticed because I've had the same problem where my badges and game-pass images didn't get approved so now I've had to stick with unattractive badges and game-pass images ;S |

Support, then devs wouldnt need to make a new gamepass, and old game pass owners wouldnt lose their abilitys!

How will it benefit the non-developers, the players?
If this feature was added, then both players and developers will win out. Currently, if the developer wanted to change a gamepass's icon, he/she has to make a new one, and can just change the ID of it in his script. However, the player will have to repurchase the gamepass, becoming a waste of RS. So, if this was added, the player will not have to repurchase the gamepass, and the developer can change his image. |
