I'm a former retexturer (acc was banned so I quit retexturing) but would love to resume making retextures. One big reason I quit retexturing though was the low reward for retexturing. If you get really lucky and your hat gets published, you get into a special group and earn 500 robux. That's all. Here's how ROBLOX could make people want to make cool hats that the community may have more interest in... Bring back user-created meshes. The meshes have nothing to do with retexturing, but it gives more taste to hats (because, no offense, the community hasn't been liking the ones that have been released in the past month or so). The user-created meshes would have to be approved before being able to be used. Now for the rewards. If you want somebody to make something breathtaking, you want to give them some rewards. Not bad rewards though, good ones. I was thinking (personal opinion) that if you take a mesh made by ROBLOX and retexture it (then get it published) you earn 5,000 ROBUX. If you make your own mesh and texture it (then get it published) then you'll make around 15,000 or 20,000. This is a good idea in my opinion because the community has tons of ideas for meshes to texture that the other members of the community may end up loving. It may even attract members to ROBLOX, they see the hat and go "oh, cool hat! I want that!" then join ROBLOX. Thanks. :)
