The currency trade used to be the only way for NBCs to make money, besides pay2win and game dev. But now the TC has become completely and utterly unprofitable due to someone rich trading in massive bulk at tiny spreads. Anyone wishing to start up will need at least 5000 tickets, and even at this you will likely make 10 tickets an hour tops, so it's just not viable for newbies to try and make money off of it any more. I still feel that NBCs need a non-game-dev-based way to make money though, and the trade system seems like the only way there really is that wouldn't cause mass inflation.

Nope. Roblox would lose money because less people would buy BC. Also, WNTS

But without starting money, NBCs can't get into game dev because they can't run ads.

1: You don't needs ads to be a dev 2: NBCs earn 10 tix a day, thats a lot more than most F2P games will give

@Elliot >"NBCs earn 10 tix a day, that's more than most F2P games give" I'm used to games in which success is earn-able rather than paying being a necessity. The best games in my opinion work on the logic that if you are dedicated to the game you don't even have to pay in order to advance. Some have even let you get P2P advantages with ingame money. That's far better than ROBLOX, in which paying seems to now be the only way to advance and even the lowest tier of P2P recieves 22x more than F2P. >"You don't need ads to be a dev" If you ever want to advance you need to get your game out there. Even admins won't find your game if you never run ads. Inviting your friends might get you a visit or two, but it won't get your game out to the public, no matter how good it is.

Financial status should not make it impossible to be a dev on ROBLOX. I find it sad that in return to logic, people just throw these useless one liners.

Let me make 37 alts for creating an onion network for transferring shadily-acquired items (ie stolen using scamming) first before this gets added.

Or you could make a game? You know, the whole point to this website. I did it by fixing an old game and putting my own little twist to it. Or use free models. Not like anyone would care, its a game to play.

Avoiding scams isn't that difficult, so I don't see where you're coming from on that. People are also no less hesitant to scam on BC accounts, seeing as nothing actually gets done to scammers.

Wait, instead of going through the proper systems you're suggesting dishonourable play? And for those who state it to be possible to become a dev without BC, tell me why the ROBLOX admins had to use a BC account of the RaceToTheBottom project?

Group wall and forum party advertising > ad system The ad system is broken so you need like 90k tix which is impossible to get anyway unless you are Loleris who hogs all the bids and spams his illumati crap everywhere.

Since when is TC unprofitable? Judging by OP's posts, it seems like he thinks you need to pay real money to even earn 10 tix daily. TC surely is profitable for me. I haven't had BC since 2011, yet I'm still doing well with money. Just make a good game.

@secretive that's the problem. Without a non-game dev way of making money, the only way to advertise your game is to spam comment sections.

I run ad's all the time, if NBC'ers want to run ad's, they are going to have to Buy R$, but when I was BC I made sure I got the certain amount of R$ (8k R$) so I wouldn't need BC For at least 2 years or so.

@ii You had to pay. I think that success in ROBLOX shouldn't require payment.

If you can afford a 500+ dollar computer or laptop then you can afford BC.

In many games, you don't even need to pay if you work hard. Roblox is not an exception - the hard work here is making an enjoyable place. Once you make a very good place, you should get it noticed - the most effective way is telling your friends. A lot of people playing at the same time = even more people noticing the game. Just look at me - I have a good advertising strategy that works almost always, and that got me over 60k visits and some expensive items - and I didn't pay a single dollar for the whole 5 years I am playing.
