Don't let people lock their own threads, theres no point to it, especially on S&I. Let the staff lock threads if needed

They only do that because it prevents obvious backlash & no supports Support.

I like the feature, sometimes people want to state an opinion without being flamed afterwards. They're really no reasons to remove it. Report abuse if someone is abusing the feature.

I think it's a useful feature for groups, announcements, changelogs, etc. It DOES have a point as it serves many purposes. It doesn't necessarily get lost in sections of the forum as you can redirect users to the thread using the URL/Internal link. Also, users such as Loleris could find the feature incredibly useful as a developer. He wants users to be notified about upcoming events and features without having endless replies to the thread. You don't even know if staff cba to continuously lock threads, There's more than 30 users using the forum . That's too much on them. From a small seed a mighty trunk may grow.

It's not like ROBLOX look at a locked WNTS thread and say "Hmm, nobody disliked it. Forget what we told them not to suggest, this is an epic idea!". The locked threads simply get lost because there's no way to bring them back up. Unlike if they were unlocked, where flame wars and "no support" replies would keep the thread wasting space on the front page while good ideas get pushed down.

YOU SUCK" but they could just say "Good idea, but roblox said they wont add this"
