Rating: ♥♥♥♥/♥♥♥♥♥ - Reason; The storyline to me is perfection, but the ending is truly horrifying. [SPOILERS] Why would Augusts die? I mean wasn't he perfectly healthy? Hazel was the one with cancer, and was the most likely to die, right? I still need an explanation for his death and what caused it.

Im sorry I have to disagree the book was horrible, the storyline was very unrealistic (I assume this was written based off of something that would happen in real life) and John Green only wrote it because of the easy market it has.

1. His cancer came back 2. The book sucks just like every other young adult book John Green writes.

I accept your opinion. I just rather like the romance of it rather than the fact that it is very unrealistic to happen. It's like Hazel had a daydream of some sort and dreamed it up.

I thought the cancer was only in his leg that they amputated.

If you look at it in that perspective then I could see why it would appeal to you

Not only that, but it's because mainly it's like Cinderella to me. The Stepmother is the cancer, and the prince is Augustus. Hazel forgets about her cancer meanwhile she's with him, but when the prince dies, it comes back to her that she might die also. It's a dark version of Cinderella to me.

Even if the cancer is removed, it can still come back. That's why some surviving cancer patients do check ups? And also the book was good, I expected more reaction from Hazel towards August's death though. Like maybe she would commit suicide and die with him? xp Something to show that she really did love him; and this wasn't some teenage illusion love kind of thing. :^)
