~CORE Fleet~ At once, hundreds of thousands of Goo forms come out of the carrier, and fly towards the CORE ship, hanging on to the ships. They begin to eat into the hull. While individually weak, there are just so many. Also, when a Goo form dies, it sprouts 2 weaker, but capable forms that continue to leave. The carrier begins to die off, but it's Goo is already spent, and the Goo begins to overwhelm the frontal CORE ships. ~Kreggus VI~ Hundreds of ships open fire on the Vartiz Dreadnaught. On the surface, the assault is temporarily stalled, but regrouping is occurring.

-{Surface Invasion}- Marines are finally able to seize the last of the cities on the first continent they invaded (Vierri, perhaps?) and the great spaceports are utilized to make repairs and recuperate. With this, however, more ships are free to move on and support Roman ships on the capital continent to the east and the fleet battle above.

~VDV Merciless~ One of the great weaknesses of the Dominion shield system was revealed as hundreds of ships attacked it. In order to save energy, the Dreadnought was forced to halt all beam attacks, drastically improving its survival rates. Even so the shield integrity slipped down point by point every few seconds. However the Dreadnoughts loyalist allies were free to pound the assailants with little to no impediments for the short duration that the Dreadnought could sustain the damage. In another part of the Imperian Empire. Flux considered his options. He was one with the Dreadnought and felt each impact on it like a bee sting. Parting with what had quickly become a part of him would be like losing a limb. But it would be a necessary sacrifice. Thus even as the VDV Merciless's shields began to crumble under the barrage it prepared for an emergency slipspace partition. ~Kreggus IX~ To the goo's disappointment, it found that the Corvettes were unmanned. Indeed, most Dominion military vessels were ghost ships to preserve the precious lives of the Vartiz race. Thus the AIs on the Corvettes merely took the opportunity to scan the Goo and draw conclusions on it as their ships were torn apart.

[Lava'kiir Dictatorship] ------------------------------ "We are departing, all passengers aboard." The dropship's interior hummed, the massive vehicle lifted itself off the ground, hovering some moments as it's large shadow was casted over the smaller craft before flying into space. Going between large warships and transports, it slowed down against the rest of the passing, tiny ships, lowering itself into the hangar of another vessel. The fleet was done, while other ships were in construction there was no time to wait, the Dictator had directed them to reclaim their first world, Favar, a old agricultural world known for it's peaceful wildlife. Certainly something else had grown out of there now, and there was by no means time to wait for it to further strengthen. _________________________________ [Warship "The Hand", Pacification Fleet] -------------------------------------- A thousand three hundred fifty two. A thousand three hundred sixty two. The numbers went up in tens, each dropship dropping off an exact amount of ten soldiers onto the deck, the Chak'kiir constantly tapped into the machine, taking note. He was a old man by now, having lived his life in one of the giant warships as apart of the intelligence division, his life was the ship, "The Hand" was his home, mother, father, and reason for living. "Deelllta, Delta, Delta..." He clicked at the words, staring at the holographic screen. "Apart of third company..." he spoke to himself, tapping away in his insanity, ignored by the rest of the bridge. "Given less equipment than the normal unit, need to requisition new munitions...Hum." And with that, another click, before he looked at the next unit, "Squadron Bravo of Warship Heir..." _________________________________ [Observation Post Twenty, edge of Lava'kiir Dictatorship space] ----------------------------------------- (My response to any nearby visitors!) "Uh, I'm getting some strange readings out in distance space, it isn't raiders sir." The operator's arms were visiable, even if one was to be behind the terminal, the rolled up sleeves of the military fatigues shown as the Chak'kiir worked his claws on the keyboard. The officer approached, looking at the screen with his left hand on the chair. "If it isn't raiders than maybe it is some derelict, I've seen plenty in my time..." "It hasn't stopped though." The operator countered, staring at the officer, whom only gave a look of judgement back at the lowly operator. In attempt to prove his point, the operator strengthened the signal on the movement in space. Soon enough the speakers next to the terminal began to vibrate with a faint noise. "Someone else is out there..."

(Trade Federation won't be big on military, you know.) (The shields are an outer layer that deflects projectiles, but if something where to go THROUGH that shielding and bypass it, it would occur. Unless you have shields directly on the hull, which doesn't do much, it is bypass able.) ~THE GOO~ The Goo explodes off of the Vartiz Corvette, but flies towards the carrier form. Disappointed, the Goo climb back in, and several hundred carrier forms come back into space around them, preparing to hunt for food. ~IMPERIA~ Decimus offers the Vartiz dreadnaught to help them win, and in return will help it successfully prosper. Troops conquer the main factory, as resistance is pushed back with the reinforcements of GRE and Roye. Countless ships are destroyed, and ships begin to redirect their weapons onto the human ships, picking off destroyers and battleships.

[Lava'kiir Dictatorship] ------------------------------ With the fleet lined up at the end of the system, there was only the suspense of awaiting it's slipspace jump. Hundreds of the massive vessels awaited the order, crews droned about the halls in their selected areas, no one was misplaced, years of planning and preparation being executed in a mere matter of hours. The traffic about the fleet had halted, only the largest vessels would move, and in a short amount of time, stop as they came next to the fellow, massive vessels. The unique thing to take note of about Chak'kiir ships, was both size and design- no single Chak'kiir vessel was the same. Despite the fact there was robotics, the Lava'kiir dictatorship firmly believed in have numerous organic workers would fill the job market and make life easier for the economy as a whole. Thus thousands of men and woman worked on a individual vessel. Many vessels within the Pacification Fleet took decades to construct, one- the flagship -took a total century, and the ideology of building up the old models only made it easy to adapt new technology to these designs. However, despite their massive guns, massive size and incredible length, they were expensive and time consuming. Each vessel was to be given much thought into constructing, precisely why so many were grouped together, they needed to protect each other, for the sake of themselves and those whom died in attempting to produce these massive war machines... *** In time, the engines flickered, suddenly within moments the vessels disappeared, travelling through time and space, on their way to the distant rebel world. The fleet maintained it's resources, rationing, being delicate with the numbers and calculations. A mistake would happen once or twice, supplies would slip through, a lowly worker would steal, and someone would get shot, but time passed as it did for the fleet, and it would continue to it's target- Favar.

(Declined, UNLESS you make these changes. Lower military population to 60 million maximum, lower physical ability (is it out of 10 or 100?) and technology level. If so, you're accepted.) ~The Goo~ The Goo enters system around the Dominion ships of the Vartiz, and hurl themselves at them. Hundreds of thousands of forms begin crawling at them. ~Imperia~ Ships begin beating down on the dreadnaught, while the loyalists begin doing a decent amount of damage. A formation is made where longer, more stronger ships will move infront of the fleet to protect them. On the surface, heavy resistance is met, but troops begin firing field bombardment.

[Lava'kiir Dictatorship] ------------------------------ -Shipyards- _______________________________ "Heave-ho! Heave-ho! Heave..." The workers kept pulling on the exterior of the hull, crowds beyond crowds of the Chak'kiir pulled the metal pieces about, mechanics- prized for their knowledge -would be assigned with dangerous but well-paid tasks. Technicians would do the work the menial, simple lowly Chak'kiir could not do, and the windows surrounding them would reveal the emptiness of space, and the pretty, beautiful planets in the distance. Chak'kiir shipyards were, in a way, giant factories in space, puffing out junk and looking like massive dumpsters in their own right, they were old, rusting, but they worked, they held entire generations of people. And the upcoming civil war's end would only add more onto the list of people whom never leave these massive stations of ship culture...

~Kreggus IV~ The Dominion ships scramble, shooting down the Goo and scrambling interceptors. The fleet carrier, the only ship in the fleet holding Vartiz immediately jumps into slip space. The fate of the two initial corvettes had led them to conclude that the goo was after organic life. After the partitioning of the Merciless, Dominion ships scramble to recover as many pieces of it as possible to keep the lesser races from obtaining valuable Vartiz technology. ~VDV Merciless~ The shield was failing... The Loyalists couldn't afford to lose this battle. The partition procedure was nearly complete. There was only one thing left to do. The VDV Merciless began to split apart, the Foundry, Tertiary power core and the slipspace drive detaching in one smooth section from the center of the Dreadnought, The ship then executed a slipspace jump in two directions, the detached section exiting the system and the rest of the Dreadnought being hurled into the enemy fleet where it promptly exploded in a silent flash of light. Consuming much of the third fleet and scattering pieces of the valuable Vartiz technology held on the Dreadnought across the system.

(CORE shields disintegrate matter on contact, breaking the molecular bonds holding an object together and spreading it out over the shield surface or letting it drift back into space. Energy, such as lasers, is similarly dissipated over the entirety of the shield. CORE shields are like a bubble, surrounding ships about 10 meters out, though they can expand and contract as needed.) (So, umm, pretty sure that unless the goo hits the shields of one of my ships en masse to overload it, I don't see how they would get through. They can't bypass the shield if they can't get through, and it's not bypassing if they're hitting the shield with intent to overload it.)

(Accepted, that means you have 13 million military.) (Also, LNG, the shields aren't physical boundaries, they disenigrate matter that comes in contact with it. I did not know this, but anyways, this essentially makes your ships impenetrable...? If you came from humans than how is this technology so advanced?) (Anyways, we'll just say that the Goo pile up and, while disintegrating, rip apart the hull slowly.) ~GOO~ The Goo hurl themselves at the Vartiz ships, but only manage to cling on to the smaller ships. The larger ships struggle with shooting on their own ships, due to the Goo clinging on to the Vartiz ships. Slowly sizzling on the shields, they begin to unearth the hull. ~Kreggus VI~ The dreadnaught explodes, and 34 ships of the 3rd Fleet go down with it. Decimus regrets this, but is reminded that most of the ships were smaller frigates and corvettes scavenged from shipyards. As the dreadnaught leaves, the fleet redirects attention to the human fleets, in which the massive Roye and GRE fleets begin to rip apart the fleet. The 5th and 6th Fleets prepare to warp out if necessary. On the surface, the drones begin dwindling, and field bombardment begins blowing up the mobs. As troops move in, they take casualties from the Loyalists marines, but quickly reorganize. ~Vartiz Dreadnaught~ The dreadnaught's components land in a mid-rim world of Imperia, which is not designated by a code, but is simply labeled as "Consumer" on the Imperian visual tags.

(Forgot to mention, the components were directed, not thrown about randomly. If I want a random jump I'll ask or it'll be really obvious in the post) ~Hyperspace Gate 01~ With a flash, a unshielded and rather unwieldy vessel fell out of slipspace into system. It had been a fantastical leap of space in a short time made possible by the fact that a dreadnought class slipstream device was being used to propel something barely a quarter of the intended size. However by that same virtue, much of the makeshift vessel was unsafe for further travel until it could repair itself. A task that the Foundry onboard began immedietely. Replicating matter from the output of the tertiary reactor core. On the frigate watching the Hypergate, Flux demanded a transport out to what remained of his precious Dreadnought. ~Kreggus IV~ The Dominion vessels that had goo on them simply rammed into the nearest convenient vessel of another empire. It was hoped once the Goo realized that their vessels carried no life and that their was an entire planet below them they would go after the organic life. In the meantime the Dominion focused on blasting the goo of their ships and destroying the wreckage of the Dreadnought. Any ship overwhelmed by the Goo committed self destruction to destroy whatever was left of it.

(Btw, the Hypergate is used for galaxy to galaxy travel, and it's 1 way type thing. That thing is a warp gate, a hypergate essentially is "hyper" and launches you.) ~Kreggus IX~ The Goo begins to die, but there is just so many. Individually, not counting the Goo that combines with each other, there are hundreds of thousands of them. The Goo fall off, but successfully get into some corvettes. Finally, the Goo realize there is no food, and begin to travel off, when they sense the Kreggus VI food.

(No, my ships aren't invincible with their shields. The shields have to exert energy to break apart objects and energy. Lots of it is based on size, energy, and structure of the object. Your little railgun ammunition doesn't take very much energy to break apart as they are traveling at high speeds, but are very small, but your big slug launchers do because they are huge, traveling at high speeds, and are magnetized. The goo, would have a hard time penetrating if it had a complex structure, but since it is able to break apart and continue moving, it bumps up the difficulty rating by a bit.) (My shields aren't physical boundaries, but it is possible to touch them. Briefly. Then they would disintegrate the fingertip that touches them. They are formed by and of energy such as in our lasers. And CORE was not made by humans. It was made by an unknown alien race, which CORE has made its primary mission to find out all it can about.) (This stuff about my shields disintegrating stuff and being created by an unknown alien race was in my CS. Anyway, will make an IC post soon.)

#162601686Friday, May 22, 2015 12:46 AM GMT

(Yes, I know, but I mentioned how the Goo stacked up on each other and flood their way in, pulling at the hull, so eventually the shield would just overact from the mass of biological matter on it, and output enough energy for it to eventually overload.) ~Imperia~ The Goo begins hunting. On Kreggus VI, marines put up a good fight, but the numbers are too much. The 6th Fleet warped out, and most of the 5th Fleet was destroyed, and warped out. The 4th would follow soon.

Soldiers rushed to the noise of alarms, dropships warmed up their engines, guns rotating and large shells being loaded into the massive cannons. It was no doubt the technology was crude- but effective. The Favar defense fleet was a tiny planetary defense force, long, elegant vessels designed by Chak'kiir claws without a doubt. These vessels turned to face their opposition, the front of each ship unfolding to reveal the cannon. Space itself soon would be lit by massive explosions, only a matter of time before the defense fleet would fall. *** //Favar's atmosphere// "Load up!" The soldiers would pull back on the bolts of their rifles, metal clicking together. Their suits of armor covering their expressions, the dimly lit dropship muffling all the explosions outside. "Delta" was the word on their shoulder pads, apart of the air assault. Most of their comrades were apart of this air assault, those whom were lucky to be selected were within drop pods, cutting through the sky. Eventually, the light became green, and the ramp slammed down, clatter of equipment echoed throughout the dropship before the reality of war came into view- the city ahead was on fire, literally, as fighter craft went overhead shooting each other down. Drop pods crashing through buildings and trees, gunfire appearing as their doors opened.
