http://www.roblox.com/games/242666928/Lag-Tester Go there, and test each effect. You'll see your frame rate drops significantly (by looking on the graph) when you use them and zoom in to cover most of your screen with the effects. End goal: Make effects a lot less laggy. NOTE: Do not zoom in most of the way and do 5+ explosions. It will possibly crash your roblox tab and potentially bluescreen your computer, depending on how many explosions you did. Everything else is safe to do in upwards of 100 instances.

Well it's based on your scripts sometimes. If you have like teleport script, explosion script, admin script, make sure before you make the game active make sure that the lag isn't there. If the lag is there then reduce the number of-people.

Go to the game. All that's there is what you see.

@Garus You are a little young to be playing roblox @Thane On quality 1, reduce the graphics effects of everything. Scale the graphics along with the texture of parts and everything else already implemented.

A game like TF2 can handle particles at point blank distance toward the screen with minimum lag.

@Cont You were likely zoomed out. Zoom in most of the way and you'll see a huge difference.

Benchmarks for my PC (though its really op) TEST 1 : MONITOR 1 (GT740) 1Fire MIN : 58 AVG : 59 MAX : 60 5Fire MIN : 58 AVG : 59 MAX : 60 10Fire MIN : 57 AVG : 58.5 MAX : 60 15Fire MIN : 55 AVG : 56.5 MAX : 58 20Fire MIN : 48 AVG : 51.5 MAX : 53 25Fire MIN : 36 AVG : 40 MAX : 44 30Fire MIN : 31 AVG : 33 MAX : 35 Though with 10 explosions I got like 5 fps.. With 125 sparkles, it really didnt hurt my pc. With 125 fire, about 20-30 fps. These were all on my GT740 (because im too lazy to edit the settings to use my 610 which sucks) These were all zoomed in all the way until your mouse locks, and on 10 settings. (also max in studio settings) While this may cause lag, game devs probably aren't going to be using 30 fires at once.

I'm working on a leaderboard that shows everyone's, and lets you compare your computer to everyone else's. I can't do it this weekend, but I will after exams.
