In the near future, Meches have been over-ridden with A.I.'s, designed only for war. Called Gear Heads, they are placed in Arena's for all out war. Usually, they resemble Humanoid-types, but can also been Animal, and others. Each Gear Head is also powered by a person's thoughts, amplified by there Lincense to use Gear Head.
Also, Gear Heads can be modified in a number of way, including Scanning Abbilties, short-distance teleportation, and other sorts of perks. But with perks, comes dis-advantadges, like the Scanning abbilty; it can only detect Gear Heads, not weapons.
The ways to cheat are very simple: back-up generators, tampered weapons, tampered abbilities, false/banned weapons, there are tons. But Banned/False weapons are used the most, for they can destroy a Gear Head in a few shots, or enchance their other weapons to much, and might cause a explosion that could injure everyone. If ran into, DO NOT use them, or your GH Lincense will be revoked.
Every year, the GH Tournament is held in each town, and each winner goes to the World Tournament for a chance at gaining a certain Weapon, called the Vortex. It is rumored that the Vortex is a Gun that disables all weapons, making a fight easier. Another rumor is that it's a banned weapon, and they just want to get rid of it.
