I have been on this site for quite some time and never before this update have I seen one that is utterly pointless. However, this new system is exactly that. I have read the blog post about the subject and have seen that you all did it to please all the people asking for it, however, I have never seen one person prior to the implementation of this system ask for it. Also, the majority of the people who wish to maintain this system are devs on roblox! So then, why have you added this system to please the devs even though almost all of us regular roblox users absolutely hate this system?
I have seen in the blog post that you have done this to "make roblox more social" however, this system does exactly the opposite! How can we increase the amount of social activity on a website by reducing and restricting the amount of people we can interact with!? Also, I have many good friends who have quit roblox that I would like to still remember and would like them to still be seen and recognized as my friends on my friends list. This system completely destroys my wish for that, now all of them are put on a "follower" tab on which no one except for me can see. Moreover, many of my friends who are still active have their settings so that friends only can invite them to parties/PM them/follow them/chat them. This renders it near impossible for me to communicate with them. Please roblox, hear us normal users who have supported you for so long, dont add updates especially of this scale just because the devs who make games for you want them.
Please remove this system and add back the old system which we all loved and never complained about. I believe that adding the followers tab a long with the friends and best friends tab is a great idea, but limiting the amount of friends we can have? That is not right. Please roblox, this is a building site, not social media, remove the friends and followers system. |

Just friend request them if you wanna communicate. If you have 200 friends, I bet you only talk to about 10 of them, theres no need to have tons of friends, same goes for the people you want to communicate with. |

Please read my post, I wish to remember my friends who have quit and this system renders that hard to do. Also, half my old friends have their settings so that I cant communicate with them and they dont get online enough nor do they know how to accept friend requests on this new system. |

@wonder, read my post, I am not asking for it all to be cancelled, I am asking more for reasons why exactly this was implemented, it is utterly pointless and the majority of roblox users dislike it, I believe that ROBLOX should know this. |

Yes epic, I did read your post. But you are breaking the rules of this forum by suggesting it.
Also, I don't see how it's harder to accept friend requests now - someone sends me an FR, I go into my Friend Requests page to see it and I also get a message alerting me. Just like old times. |

Yes, I did say that part and I wont deny it, but you do realize that adding a new system like this will render some people such as those who dont play often unable to accept friend requests because you now have to go to their profile and accept them rather than the normal system. This system also makes roblox like social media, which it should not be. We dont want roblox to be like social media, if you want social media, go to facebook or twitter, but stay out of roblox, its not meant to be a social media site. |

Yes, but you can only click ignore on the friends page, the only way you accept them is by clicking the persons character and then clicking accept friend request on their profile. |

Lolno. If you mouse over their character picture, a Gear icon appears at the top-right and lets you accept on the Friends page. |

And the fact that I dont know that only proves that it is much more complicated and that many users may not know how to do that, anyhow, lets move on to what im actually talking about, accepting friend requests was a minor part of my post. |

The old system had two buttons, one was green and said accept and the other was red and said ignore, now can we please go to what the post is actually about.. |

@won, nevermind, your right about the old friends accepting method, it was with the little gear thing, im talking about how you used to accept them back in 2012 and 2013 I havent played roblox as much anymore so I forgot. |

It was implemented for game developers that constantly had 1000s of friend requests, and someone who likes to "Follow" their favorite game dev is not a "Friend" of the game developer. There is a difference, and that is why it was added. I personally can't stand having people on my friends list who I don't talk to. I want to be able to just message anyone on my friends list to help or play with without them being like "Who are you" or "You're not my friend".
So you have to understand why they completely added it. |

Alright, I see, but still, what about all of us who want to keep our old friends? This system renders it impossible and with this system they will still have all those friend requests and they can also simply click accept or ignore all, thats why those buttons were added. |

Even then, most people will not talk to and hang out with over 200 "friends". You only usually hang out with a few people, and have a few on your list that you may talk too once in a while. |

I understand that, but still, what about when I want to remember some of my friends? If I have a best friend on my friends list and he quits, I dont want to delete him to make room for other friends. Also, this whole system makes roblox more like a social media site which I extremely dislike. |

It's still the same answer. You still have 199+ friends on that list if you need to make room, there's obviously someone who you do not really hang out with. |
