Deleting unused accounts

Lets face it, there are loads of unused accounts, some taking up great names. I'm changing my name soon, but what I type in always comes up as an unused account last logged in from 2007-2009. This really annoys me as the good names are being taken up by inactive accounts. It would be great if Roblox added a system that once an account hasn't been logged in for 3+ years, it will be deleted, or the name changed to "player78426782" or something like that. And for those wondering, this isn't account theft, or username theft, because the account hasn't been used for 3+ years.

So your saying we should get rid of our alt accounts so if we get banned we wont have any backup accounts? gg No support. Some alts are never used for 4 years. Its called name snipes,deal with it. We all have to.

Ok, so ALTs might be a problem, but you might just have to remember to log in once in a while. That or Roblox could add some setting that verifies you as an ALT. ALTs would probably be the biggest problem with this.

Alts are not authorized or endorsed by ROBLOX. CO and directing others to your alt(s) after your main account has been banned can lead to an IP ban.

@It'sJerry ROBLOX could always send out a warning message to every account. If some people were on vacation, this warning could either last about 1 month, or just tell people to sort it out with ROBLOX and they'd add the account back. Simple fix. Also support :D rawr

I agree. A warning message would be a good idea. You could also have an option menu that allows you to claim that your alt is your backup of your main account. Then roblox can send the warning message to your main account, and you can log into your alt, and accept the message. You're not free until you recognise your inner Demon.

no. you don't need old names, and i'm sure it would cause more strain on the ROBLOX servers to have a bot sweeping through user IDs. the point of a name is to be unique from the other players so you can be identified. if you want a cool, unused name, then be creative. also, think about it. there would be people that would snap up old names and never use those accounts again, anyway.
