Hi, I'm Monta and I'm looking to construct a team to help build a new First-Person-Shooter, based on the real-life video game series by LucasArts (Not the New one by Electronic Arts), Star Wars : Battlefront! Building a almost exact replica of the great two-game series will require a lot of skill, and I'm relying on you guys to help me!
I require a few people skilled in the following categories :
Building
I need some people to build the maps. I'm no expert builder, and I only plan to construct one of the maps for the game. (Maybe a few themed maps, like a schoolhouse when school is dismissed later this spring) Constructing these maps requires careful planning and detail, and that takes plenty of skill. I believe all of you may have the skill to complete this task!
Scripting
There's lots of things that need to be scripted in the game, such as spawning with a storm trooper outfit, or a rebel soldier outfit, etc, etc. Alternating maps and alternating game modes every 10 minutes (with added intermission) will require plenty of scripting, also. The preset class selection when you join the game will require plenty of scripting, and so will the fancy command posts. I rely on you guys to help me out with plenty of this!
Graphic Design
Plenty of decals and textures will need to be constructed to make the game look like it always has in real life. We need people skilled with various photo editing programs, such as photostop, GIMP, and paint.net will need to help make main menu buttons, and such. Maybe you guys can even help me make an alternative to the TurboFusion GUI! (We aren't ditching the gun kit, but we may ditch the GUI)
I plan to meet tonight at Soro's Italian Restraunt at 6 PM EST on the dot. If you have any questions I may answer them through forum replies or simply ask me at the restraunt meeting. Please attend the meeting if you have even the slightest interests in joining the team.

Postscript - Just because I only mention me doing one map doesn't mean I'm not doing anything. I plan to construct ALL of the weaponry and create the uniforms. (for the rebels, at least) I was afraid you guys may rat me out for not mentioning it. Might as well mention it, anyways. Sorry for the inconvenience. |
