I've become a developer which means that I'm clearly going to take my created games seriously and spam isn't going to help. We need less spammers in the comment section of items. (e.g. Games, Hats, etc) and one way to prevent spamming is to give developers the ability to remove specific comments from your game as well as ban certain users from commenting. I'm not sure if this has already been added but it would be helpful if users were only allowed to comment if they have played the game or purchased the catalog item that they're commenting on. This absolutely won't stop spamming completely but it would be a start. I have commenting bots that would be completely useless if either you were only allowed to comment within 3 hours of playing the game or an IP Restriction. Devs could possibly be able to toggle restrictions listed from a newly added tab in the game configuration page.

0nesh0t I want genuine comments in the comment section of my games where users could share their thoughts and suggest future implementations. I don't want my private messages being spammed and I don't want to share contact information to the public. Stop replying with temporary patches when this idea could simply be implemented in the next update and stop it all. Admit that this would be a helpful feature.

I didn't mean it in a bad way. I think your ways for getting rid of bots are pretty universal, since many others have suggested similar reasons. However, the idea of giving developers to have the "ability to remove specific comments from your game as well as ban certain users from commenting." it just doesn't sit right. there are definitely developers out there who strive for success in their games, but there are undoubtedly even more people out there just looking for a quick buck. Giving them the ability to remove certain comments/ block certain users from commenting could yes, allow them to get rid of the spam, but also allow them to get rid of the people who say that the game is a scam. It is understandable that you want constructive criticism; there's even a sub-forum here to help with just that http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=62 but the fact that it allows creators to hide evidence from people saying that it's a scam makes the mods' job harder to find and delete scam games. Checkmate.

0nesh0t "but the fact that it allows creators to hide evidence from people saying that it's a scam makes the mods' job harder to find and delete scam games." I think the ability given to dislike games was a way of finding these "scam games". That's mostly what the feature was implemented for. I'm not going to play a game called "PLAY FOR TIX" when it has 6x the amount of dislikes as likes. You can always report these games as well.

titles can be changed. a game can go 5-38 but without real proof from other users saying that it's a scam, the mods can't take it down. the possibility of an unpopular yet unique game idea is a thing that could be in place. Checkmate.

I agree with you on that but testing for alternative submissions wouldn't hurt.
