"this is true of nearly all sports. stop baiting" no, it's really not. the only other sport i can think of that matches nfl in this kind of thinking is mma. both are overrated sports that should just die right now.

1) except football/soccer openly accepts that things happen and clubs and administrators in the game do what they can to prevent stuff like that. 2) i've never heard of football players killing themselves or others because of too many concussions in their career. i have, however, heard about top-tier gridiron players doing it.

yes the rigorous and strict training schedules that these players are on probably contributed nothing to the deaths and the fact that we're just waiting for the next one to happen suggests that clubs are doing the right thing. good job at least the NFL has to publicly admit that they give players CTE oh and soccer has 55 listed suicides. american football has 30

They had genetic heart conditions. Would of most likely happened on any heavy cardio sport. Also look at suicides per capita since there are hundreds more leagues for soccer.

no they didn't, you made that up. since 2010, 23 footballers have died of cardiac arrest. only one has had a confirmed heart disorder

the heart disease in question only applies to 0.2 to 0.5% of the general human population. it is statistically impossible for all 23 to have the same condition. there might be something wrong with the game that people are ignoring

Ebenton, hip injuries are prevalent in golf because of the endless rotation they instill upon the hips.

1.) You're supposed to lead with your shoulder and keep your head out of the way but no pro players really do this. 2.) if they really cared what could potentially happen to their brain because of concussions then they would've never signed up, or would retire. THEY BEING THE PLAYERS MAKE THE CHOICE to keep playing despite these risks so don't just bash the entire sport.

are we ignoring the head trauma caused in soccer as well?

I also like how you guys avoid the fact that it's a waste of talent for a national talent pool. Call me selfish, but I want to see USA being a powerhouse in sports like soccer, rugby and tennis.

Well if the NFL who is, well oh I don't know.... close to 75% black which I believe that it is. I'd say a good 95% care absolutely nothing about soccer and almost all the rest have never watched it besides the world cup for a few minutes then changed it back over to sportcenter or NFL network. I'm not being racist but do you honestly think even 1/8 of the African American population which is around 40% I'd say of our nations population (which is obviously some of the most elite athletes in America, no racism intended) gives one single crap about soccer. Even if football died most would never ever set foot on a pitch. Of course they would make some amazing strikers and sweeping midfielders/wings, but do you honestly think soccer is gonna catch on with them? Most African American people in the south are very poor and the only reason they play HS football is because the school has equipment for them already. Soccer is quite expensive because of all the travelling you have to do and equipment isn't cheap either, unless you buy crap brava cleats which fall apart after 4 or 5 games. (true story went through 2 pairs in 6 games and couldn't play my last game of the season cause I couldn't get more in time for the game.) Think on a national scale before you say a sport should die. Just because not everyone is poor where you live doesn't mean that isn't the case where someone else lives. Soccer is expensive.

>You're supposed to lead with your shoulder and keep your head out of the way but no pro players really do this. um actually all of them do considering it's a penalty not to do it the problem is after they get hit they fall to the ground and their head bangs against the ground anyway i'm with tato here, donny and harleq have no points and their argument is laughable Iᴛ ᴀɪɴᴛ ᴇᴀsʏ, ʙᴇɪɴɢ Cʜᴇᴇsᴇʏ.
