Harsher bans for comment advertising

I propose that if a person spams his advertisements in the comments once, he gets a one day ban. However, if he does it again, give him a 2 week ban for it. One month bans will be given for the 3rd and 4th times, but on the 5th, you're permabanned. That will cut down on the "big name" spammers seen across multiple comment sections over a long time span. However, if a person advertises another person's place in the coments who is CLEARLY AN ALT, he gets PERMABANNED instantly with an IP ban. Sure, they can use a proxy to bypass this, but that can't be helped. TL;DR: ban these scrubs

This will definitely decrease the amount of spammers but it sure won't stop it. If you know the consequences to your actions you won't execute your actions. I'm sure many individuals are allows to do something illegal such as drug tracking but since they know the consequences, the majority won't. It's fear that the users need and it's fear that's going to change everything. The only thing I see wrong with this is if this will help soon enough. We know that there's many spammers and many spammers will be stopped by this implementation but is there anyone really analyzing the comments long enough to find and report every single spammer there? This will stop some but no everyone. There's many ways to bypass this anyways. VPN's, Proxies, IP Changing, and Bots and it's not really hard to do it. This will be a cool implementation but is it worth it. The power of imagination makes us infinite.
