Basic Rules:
-3 periods
-10 minutes each
-If game is tied after the 3 periods, we head to a 5 minute overtime.
-If a goal is scored during the 5 minute period, the team with the goal wins the game
-Season: After 5 min OT, there will be a Shootout.
-Playoffs: 3OT(if needed) Then rescheduled to a later time.
-Shootout: Consist of 3 rounds, Each round, each team, will send one player to shoot a penalty shot. If needed, more rounds.
To start the game there must be at least 1 player from the team. That player can get a sub from Free Agents. The player can not sub if the player is already on a team.
A FFT will be called if no players from the team show within 5 minutes after the game was supposed to start
Amount of players on the ice: This depends on the amount of players are there for both teams. If both teams have 3 players, it will be 2v2 with goaltenders. if both teams have 4 then 3v3 with goaltenders unless there is a large amount of lag. If one team is down one when they will play down except when the team that is down has 3 players then it will be 2v2. It can only be 2v1. This will be decided by the ref. 3v2 is illegal.
Offside: Players of the attacking team must not precede the puck into the attacking zone. This means the puck should ALWAYS go into the attacking zone BEFORE anyone on the attacking team. It is a delayed offside until the player touches the puck. If the attacking team goes out of the attacking zone, the offside is waved off. If an offside is called, the face-off is the neutral zone.
Icing: For the purpose of this rule, the center red line will divide the ice into halves. Should any player of a team, equal or superior in numerical strength (power-play) to the opposing team, shoot, bat or deflect the puck from his own half of the ice beyond the goal line of the opposing team, play shall be stopped. Icing is waved off if the Goalie touches the puck or the race to the puck is won by the game that iced the puck. If an icing is called, the face-off is in the zone of the team that the icing was called on.
Out of play: If the puck disappears or goes out of play, the faceoff will be at the closest point from where the puck was. There is no delay of game penalty for an out of play.
Goalies can pull with 2 minutes left in the 3rd period. The gk must yell “Pull” for them to pass the blue line. They have the choice to sub for another player or stay on the ice and turn into an on ice player.
Goals: Goals must fully cross the goal line and into the net. Goals will not count if the puck is teleported into the net though lag. The ref must view the player beating the goalie cleanly with no lag. If a lag goal does occur there is no goal, but no penalty. If goaltender interference occurs then the goal will not be counted and there is a minor penalty.
Shots: Shots on goal will count if the puck did or did not go in the net. Post shots do not count as shots on goal. Refs will keep track of shots on goal.
Penalties:
Jumping: The act of jumping near the ball during play. If there is a jump on a breakaway, it is an automatic penalty shot. Any other jumps are 2 min minors.
AA (Admin abuse): Admin abuse consist of using: (2 min)
-First AA~ Pen
-Second AA~ Temporary un-admin
-Third AA~Removal of Admin
-Fourth AA~ Punishment TBD (Suspension)
using :m during play.
Killing/Respawning anyone on the enemy team
Teleporting your players during play
Using :jump player for someone on the other team (Yes this a rule thanks to mrepic)
Any other admin commands during play that could cause either team to make a play or block their vision.
TMM (Too many men): This is when one team has more players on the ice than aloud. This would be a bench minor so anyone can serve the penalty. (2 min)
EA:When the face-off player takes the puck before the play actually begins. The player is penalized. (2 min) No warns
DOG (Delay of Game): When one team moves the puck after play is stopped for a long time delaying the game. A DOG is also when one player stops with the ball for more than 15 seconds.
Trap: When a gk handles the puck in the trapezoid area. If the puck is near and the gk plays it, it will be a warning. If he is clearly in the trap, or near the trap for the 2nd time, there will be a minor penalty. (2 min)
Unsportsmanlike Conduct: When a player consistently complains about one play in the game that wasn't called.
Penalty calling: When someone says something along the lines "JUMP" or "AA" when the ref did not call that penalty.
Jersey: Although this is not a penalty, it is a rule. Any player without a jersey by the time that the second faceoff is going to happen, they will be ejected until they get a jersey
Team rights:
Timeouts: Each team gets 1 timeout per game. A timeout will last 2 minutes unless the team wants to start early.Timeouts can only be called outside of play.
Challenges: Each team gets 1 challenge per game. The team must specify what part of the previous play they want reviewed. A goal can now be reviewed for a missed offside or icing call. However, a ref cannot review for a missed penalty. If the challenge is won by the team that called the challenge, they get their challenge back. If the team loses the challenge they lose that challenge and one timeout.
Admins
Each team is allowed 2 admins per game. This includes a team owner, staff memeber, or 'c'. In the situation that any of these positions are not at the game, a 'a' will get admin. You can only get a mod admin unless you are a staff member. A referee has the right to unadmin anyone unless his reasoning is unconstitutional and therefore a board member or commissioner will handle it.
Subs: The only situation that allows a team to have a sub is when the team has two players from that actually team. If the team has 1 player and doesn't get a player within 5 minutes of the start time, Its a forfeit.
You can only take subs from Free Agency. If a player is on a different team or in RNHL, they cannot sub.
Teams are aloud more than 1 sub if the other team owner or captain agrees.
Captains: Every team is allowed 1 captain and 2 alt captains
Signing: The signing deadline will be later in the season and announced when close. If a team signs a player within 1 hour of the game, that player cannot play until the next game. There must be verification or proof of the signing and that it was atleast one hour before the game start time.
