When you are standing in a line or marching, you will press F on your keyboard. This is known as Shoulder Arms.
When your commander tells you to Fix Bayonets, you will press V before charging, or when the "Ready Charge" command is given.
When you are patrolling along the roads walking, you will press N. This is known as Port Arms.
When you are standing guard at a gate or door, you will press T. This is known as Guard Arms.
When you have no order, you may press G to relax arms.
