In Astrocia, everyone is free to live their lives as they wish. Whether a citizen, or a soldier, you are a subject of the empire, and should be seen in the same light by other members. You may either fight in the military, on land or in the navy (navy in development at time of writing rules), or you may live your life in peace, and focus on your reputation within any of the provinces of Astrocia.
However, as free as you may be, every empire must have its rules so as to secure law and order.These rules must be followed by EVERYONE, whether citizen or Steward. Failure to follow these rules will result in punishment, varying in seriousness depending on the crime commited.
1) All Astrocians are to respect and help visitors, unless they are rude towards any Astrocian individual or group.
2) All Astrocians are expected to respect one another. An ideal Astrocian should not fight within the group, and should save their fighting for when the empire is under siege.
3) All Astrocians shall follow the orders of nobility when they are available at any time. If an order is disobeyed, it can lead to punishment. (This rule applies to military personnel specifically, as citizens are allowed to live free lives within the empire).
4) If a member of the empire with higher authority is present, it is customary to refer to them as 'Sire' or 'Ma'am' depending on their gender. This is so as to keep the group in context. It is also to help enforce rules 2+3.
5) If an Astrocian wishes to join the military, it is fine to private message a higher rank. You shall be positioned as a Levy, the beginning rank for soldiers within the empire.
6) Any law enforcement curfews/restrictions which are put in place to protect regions of the empire must be followed. If not followed, severe punishment may follow in accordance with rule 3.
7) Astrocians stand for three things in specific: Honour, loyalty and trust.
These three factors are vital in war or in daily life in Astrocia, and will keep the group going and will keep members safe from verbal abuse.
8) Deserting in battle is only allowed if ordered. Astrocians abide by honour, and prefer to fight to the end. If you must leave for real life reasons, that is fine, and you should contact another Astrocian, preferably a HR to let them know.
9) Pestering nobility and royalty within the group is unacceptable. Whilst these individuals may have more power, and could use those powers to your own benefit, they are Astrocians like yourself, and deserve peace and privacy when they ask for it.
10) Soldiers on duty are expected to perform to their upmost best. Off duty, you may do whatever you like as long as you obey the rules of the land, in this list.
11) DO NOT KILL FOR THE FUN OF IT. Whether on duty or off duty, soldiers are to protect other members of the empire, and not kill them to pass the time. This will result in serious punishment, removal from their position, or exile.
12) Gaining promotion is done by attending events,recruiting or building/designing something (Has to be approved by the king). It may take a number of attended events to rank up and flaming or pestering a HR because you did not gain a promotion that time will not be tolerated.
13) HR's must hold events regularly (If you won't be able to for a good reason message the king) otherwise their rank will we taken away and will have to be earned again. HR's you also must not abuse your rank and the rules of the empire still apply to you. If rank is abused then again it will be taken away and will have to be earned again.
